Edit: for those not fond of math, you need to post $95,000 margin to short one paper bitcoin at $19,000.

It would have meant that CME thought that $96,000 per bitcoin within 3 months was a real possibility.  Based on 47% margin and $19k price, they think  $27k bitcoin is a real possibility within 3 months.

When the buys at the margin are all large and in rapid succession like this where it's stupidly obvious that they're not buying because they actually want bitcoin but because they want to try and move the market, you know you're in a pump and dump.

Funny, I felt quite high a while ago (when it spiked to 15-16k usd), but I am quite unphased now.

Of course, I did sell a sizeable portion of my stash around 14k, which probably explains it. That ended up not being the best decision, but I am fine with it, as it means I can sleep better.
On the other hand if this baby soars to $50k, I might be having trouble sleeping from that decision .
