Just a quick note about Bitfinex that doesn't give me the fuzziest of feelings.
I pulled off about a quarter of my holdings on Monday. That day they sent out a message to everyone about how US residents using their service were in violation of their terms of service (I thought it was just to me which made me feel a bit uneasy as I was waiting for the withdrawal to be approved).
Yesterday I submitted the withdrawal for the remainder of my bitcoins. They did some checking on my account because they responded to a past e-mail I sent asking if US citizens that were not residents were in violation of their terms of service (they assured me I was not). The e-mail was saying that they wanted me to set up 2FA (I assume to verify what my residency is). Such digging into my account should not need to happen for a simple withdrawal of bitcoin.

Tonight, the bitcoin cache rate has grown as a result of speculation. On this occasion, one of the stock exchanges stopped the auction and conducted an investigation. What happened is a crime, the culprits must be punished.

Who would actually be stupid enough to actually buy Bcash? lol
Some time ago, I traded a large percentage of my BTC for BCH. Since then, my BCH is up 12x. From that time, my BTC is up too. By a whole 6x. Stupid indeed. I'd ask you to do the math, but you may be too busy calling others stupid to be able to compute 6 into 12. lol good one! I meant stupid in the sense of it being a relatively useless and absolute dead end coin. In light of its inevitable future one would have to be stupid to actually have it and believe in it. But nonetheless, congratulations on your short term profit. Dump that shit soon, though. Some time ago, I invested in dogecoin. Since then, my DOGE was up 20x when i sold. Can you please do the maths on how doge is superior to your bcash

At least the Hunt Brothers did get their comeuppance with their attempt at cornering silver, but not so much for Buffet though.
Just to be fair, that large BCH address might have been an exchange cold wallet as I have observed and tracked Xapo's 520K+ BCH consolidation, meaning that they are also holding 520K+ BTC on behalf of their clients and millions of users. Though that particular BCH address certainly looks unusual as it only started at the end of Sep 2017.

I am not sure I follow you. Didn't Xapo already sold all their customer's BCH?

I read 60% of the mining of Bcash is by Jihan Wu of Bitmain...thus....is he just not pumping and dumping to BTC or other alts or cash as this moves along? centralized indeed, imho ( I have not moved any of my forked crypto of any flavor in USA due to this (below) or it would be a taxable event...good thing I'm paranoid of IRS or I'd not have it sitting around as unicorn money now....I personally think the first 30% correction that lasts more than 2 weeks, and the big holders will dump it for BTC.) my logic for holding and not doing zip with bitcoin cash on my BTC addresses https://www.law.cornell.edu/cfr/text/26/1.451-2The real question is, IF lighting comes out for bitcoin core and works for a scaling solution, even if modest, then what will happen to BCH and other bitcoin forks prices....you know bitcoin core is gonna drop a shoe on this soon whatever, looks good for paper profits (I actually shake my head at BTC and BCD stuff sitting on my BTC blockchain (supposedly) life is weird in crypto land (waiting for other shoe to fall, I'm not sure I can handle all this 'luck' and 'prices' after a lifetime of being a 'cranky' pessimist! edited: forgot link above

I am not a Xapo user. Though I heard that they have already distributed their 520K+ BCH to their clients. I had presumed that Coinbase is going to do the same. But instead, they pulled this 1 hours listing stunt with nothing more than a blog/twitter post, while everyone could see that BCH is already pumping yesterday and before. Some people even mention it in this thread. So no market depth nor preparing people for the listing, and end up with $9,500 BCH quote and had to stop trading all together. So much for a supposedly highest valuation "unicorn" in the crypto space.

Welp, it looks like Bcash is the clear winner.
Can anyone tell me the steps I will need to take to set up a Bcash Lightning Network node? Is their testnet setup for this yet?

So much for a supposedly highest valuation "unicorn" in the crypto space. AFAIK, Xapo made the BCH available to their users for withdrawing or converting and, when a deadline reached (a few days ago), it would then automatically sell/convert all the remaining BCH to BTC. That process already finished, so no more Xapo BCH, I think. Yeah. everyone thought coinbase was releasing the BCH in Janaury, as they announced before. I really can't understand the sudden move. Also can't understand why they did it so horribly that the books were pierced and they had to suspend trading. Which is no wonder for the reasons you give. But... WHY? Why did they do this so horribly wrong? If it is some sort of manipulation/conspiracy it is one of the worst planned ones. Maybe they wasn't expecting that a well funded shill was ready to pump the price no matter the cost? They should have known better. In the end I am not even sure this benefits BCH as it is now the second time customers have been screwed over a flash pump and dump.

Looks like the money of BCH is being moved to BTC again. Guess the pump is over.
