I say we briefly test $300 tomorrow before finding a new equilibrium around $400.

This is very possible, but again may drop lower.  I have a bunch of buys 300-420 because last low was $375 (this is on btc-e).  Still holding 40%dollars/60%BTC

Most people here have never experienced the 2011 bear market. The price went from 32 to 2.

How I (and many others) wish you were right in that we're entering another one!

Not gonna happen!

Just to get the facts straight so far, off from the $900 (gox) high last night, an hour later we saw $580, then back to the $820 zone, then touched $502 so far this morning, before now being at $650 zone...

It's moving fast. Whether you're guarding USD or BTC, best of luck out there.

Correct, Full swag ahead captain!

And Gox is really the only live exchange now, Stamp DDOS'd and China down for maintenance. Interesting.

I don't believe they are getting ddossed, sounds more like they cheapskated themselves out of good servers.

I can't understand how any company running this game wouldn't be reinvesting profits into top hardware, if you captured the market it's such a money printing machine. Why do they try and do it on a shoe-string

I think they just can't handle the massive increase in traffic lately. Just like Gox back in April.. in their own words: they were defeated by their own success. Will Bitstamp become the new MtGox now? Tongue

Or will btc-e?  Who knows, but I just think there is too much downward pressure in this market right now.
