Wait a second.
Is this just the chinese version of the senate hearings, with almost the same (positiv) outcome but with none getting it because of google-translate-FU?

No it's not, but keep trying to fool yourself.

Not making a statement here. I just woke up and am trying to process the information about the situation ^^ Didn't even have my coffee yet

Lol. All the panic selling is by westerners who simply don't understand the news. At worst, this news means literally nothing for Bitcoin, and at best it'll result in a steep price climb once people actually comprehend the news from China.

Bingo.

In the meantime, let the little teddy bears have their picnic of wishful thinking. They'll be paying dearly for it.

Please tell me, with complete 100% clarity (not just bullish hyperbole), why this is bad news for bitcoin.

I'm going to bet that you won't be able to do that.

I could sit and cite examples for you and give you an essay but I only do that for my self mate, how about you go do your own research. I'm not doing the hard work for you. If you cant see the wood for the tree's then hell mend you.
I'll translate this for everyone else:

"I have no idea"
No translate it as, im at work just now and I don't have time to draw you diagrams with crayons, do your own research.

How much was dumped?

aprox: 30k on Gox, 27k on Stamp, 50k on BTChina

just around $100MM only on those three exchanges Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

...pigs getting slaughtered

So whales saw the chance in news to cause panic and pushed the price a little bit and put bids to catch cheap coins?

That would be a gamble. Making a positive news feel negative by manipulated first reaction and then hope that there'll be a stampede. Very well executed if true. Besides in China you really have to have the coins to cause anything like that. Other excahnges followed like sheep...

Yep, you are probably right.

The very fact that BTCChina essentially just got the "A-OK" from the government is insanely awesome.

First negative statement from Chinese government and it will be raining cheap coins. This 'china rally' looks good, feels like bitcoins going somewhere but the slightest sniff of the Chinese people feeling any sort of financial 'freedom' and the rug will be pulled from under them. In the long run this will probably be bad. Price will plummit, hobby investors who bought in at 300+ will see their investments dissapear. Not good for bitcoin.

Take us back to a pre-China steady incline, we will go
slower but stronger in the long run.

Damn that sounds a bit depressing.

It is your government that tries to take away the last vestiges of freedom from its people. China has been abused enough, and finally has a chance. And does not need your help, thank you.

Just gonna leave this here, little post made back at the beginning of November.....

I'm tempted to increase my profits form this by playing with the piggy-bears, but I don't have the balls for it, as a buy-back-in whale could run me over at any time

It seems when the market has no direction, the China news triggered a long-waiting correction. If this is again a flash crash, then it is super bullish. If not, then a longer period correction is beneficial in the long term. Anyway, I don't think there's any reason to sell unless you are a day/week trader. (Personal opinion only)

Almost bed time. I will sleep soundly knowing that we'll be back up near the ATH when I wake up.

I don't know what's the price tomorrow, but pretty sure it will be higher than current price next year. Smiley

It would be nice if we could trade this without having to depend on Gox's "Blazzingly Fast" Midas Engine.
