We are in the best position possible today. Personally I am very happy that we did not have too much more of a spike up. Instead we can stick to the steady growth of the last three weeks. Much, much better, as I've said already.
Yeah right. Well let's see how long it lasts. The breaks just seem to give out after a couple of uses on the btc train. Don't be so jumpy. Do you believe Bitcoin has a future in the wide world? It's the most important question by far, because if it does then we really are extremely Lucky to be investors now.

Every time I look at the Huobi charts I can't help but mentally pronounce it like "ho boi" ("Oh boy" in a heavy Chinese accent). As in ho boi... where do they get the balls to fake all this volume.

I am about to buy 7 bitcoin. It just seems like a lull before another price hike. Is anyone else waiting for a price drop?
this is the greed/fear paralysis. over and over, my friends and family express an interest to get into bitcoin, but want to wait until a price dip. then, when there is a dip, they fear a crash and don't want in. Then it hits a new ATH and they want in again...on the next dip. funny but it seems to work this way. People want to be on safe side and have a huge gain at the same time. When I argue that it is rather rare to accommodate both features in the same investment, they look at me like I'am insane person. Show them the log charts. Strongly discourage them from visiting this forum. Get them to visit a Bitcoin conference. Teaching them is not as hard as getting them to discard what they think they already know. I think it's hilarious when broke-ass people, eyeballs deep in debt try to give me financial advice.

They buy take their 10-30% profit and vanish

[trolling] join repietila investors club, I've heard that fancy wine and cigars are on the house, he promise you a price of $400/BTC, so you might be a winner and a millionaire the same as him....[/trolling] no seriously, it all depends on your strategy, if you are a long term investor then it really doesn't matter at what price you will buy, Bitcoin has proven that constant growth over time, if you are a trader and want to catch a dip to make a stronger position then welcome to the gambling club Actually it does matter when you buy in. Lets say you have $7000 as budget, buying at $1000 each or 500$ makes a huge difference in the amount of bitcoin. Ofcourse when you say i just buy 7 bitcoins, no matter whats the price then it doesnt matter that much. But i think most ppl look at the USD investment instead of amount of bitcoins.

Buy bot seems to be back at MtGox. It was turned off yesterday during the decline. I guess whoever runs it feel safe to buy more now when the price has dropped a bit, and more sell orders are on the table.

dunno, at the least the 0% fees usually brings up the argument of bot trading to themselves

Why do people claim that Huobi's volume is faked?
Here is a thread on it. --- > http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1uhc58/is_huobis_volume_real/In addition, all of the transactions are supposedly going through the personal bank account of the owner to skirt the Chinese regulations on fiat exchange. If that were the real volume I don't see how that could be managed.

If that were the real volume I don't see how that could be managed. Only deposits and withdrawals go trough his bank account. All trading (USD/BTC) is virtual until it is actually withdrawn, in fact this opens the possibility of fractional reserve banking (the Sum of everybody's BTC exchange account could be higher than the total amount the exchange actually has).

Right but assuming they are reporting true volume there would still be an unbelievable amount of fiat channelled through this one account. In addition, the no fee policy leaves the door wide open for manipulation by bots.
