Bitcoins dropping down Shocked, wonder how deep... hope to buy in again at ~500$
I would shoot for around 700-750 range 500 is deff posible though

Since you denied the previous bet , now that the snowstorm passed , are you willing to take one for the 500?
I  did not purposefully denied the bet, will still take at 750... no 500 is a little low

750 in how many hours?

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

Ok, a US senator coming with that kind of support for Bitcoin, on behalf of Homeland Security and other federal agencies like FBI and IRS makes it pretty clear that Bitcoin has the official seal of approval of the US administration. I got kinda suspicious after the senate hearings, and this cements my suspicions that the US is somehow involved in this. No way in hell would they approve of something like Bitcoin if it wasn't part of some sinister way to profit or control.

It could be quite different if the FBI hadn't picked up so much bitcoin.

For anyone who hasn't seen the reason for this flash-crash.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=403499.new#new

Is there anything new in that 'news'? Isn't it the same situation as announced in December just clarified?

I didn't see a flash crash, I saw a correction.

I suppose we'll all know in 24hrs.

yeah, the newbs need to stop going around finding news to justify price movements. market forces are generally much more powerful on the mid-term scale anyway. what we're seeing is a healthy mid-term correction to a very large bulltrap. this shouldn't be news to anyone, although i know many didn't believe it when it was mentioned on the way up.

Speaking of bad news. Does anyone know the best way to get the fastest news that could relate to btc price? Seems like i am always late to the party.

don't worry about it. this is an illusion generated by forumites trying to justify movements after-the-fact with news.

well, here what will make you reconsider your position  http://www.cnbc.com/id/101316945#_gus

when major investor jumps in, make sure you wont miss it, in the other side note I am comfortable with my holdings now, I wont risk it on a low volume market and traps, I felt more confident trading when the volume was higher and now I don't want to lose all my profits.

30 day chart looks like a nice Cup n Handle pattern is forming. Pattern would suggest projected price after break out will be about ~$1400 (Stamp) in under a month. Just my two cents. Smiley

Yes, yes and yes.

Clearly this was one of the most intelligent things said in this thread in quite a while.

whether news should impact the price or not doesn't matter when so many are watching out for it as a means to pick up more coin.

also to ignore the news means you have no doubt as to the long term prospects of btc, a lot of people don't share that sentiment yet so like to be prepared to bail.
