What do people here think drives the price of BTC (either direction) the most?

1. Adoption
2. Use methods
3. Scarcity
4. Technology
5. News
6. Rumors
7. This thread
8. Whales
9. Hats

And which are the most predictable events or follow a pattern?

Well, if you don't have 3, then you can have as much as you want of the other eight and not enjoy a penny's increase.
Next you need 1, for without it the other seven are toothless.

Have anyone here ever received something like this?

It's called...THE EXACT SAME THING MtGox did right before they went belly up.  They pile on a bunch of verification bs to try and prevent a 'run on the bank' so to speak, so every deposit is bogged down in endless red tape unable to do anything.

Indeed. Personally, wouldn't touch bitfinex (and bitmex) with a stick.

Very nice. Been reluctant to leave .com even though half its charts are obsolete.

Warren Buffet once said BTC equals "rat poison squared," because if you multiply rat poison times rat poison, you know, you get BTC... ..  Roll Eyes

He was right, it is rat poison - and the bankers are the rats.

But but but that's half the charm.  Reminiscing about the good old days by looking at the frozen BTC-E screen.  Imagine - you could buy LTC on BTC-E for only $42.  Its not like that nowadays.

To be honest, after looking at that .io site, which I really like.... I keep using the older one because of reasons.

I should take the time to make one of those nice custom layout on the new one. That would come very handy.... but nowadays I rarely trade so.....

P.S.: And Litecoin is a nice little coin, don't mock it.... the halvening is coming!

not out of BTC but F*** i'm totally out "rekt" of SendableMerit, need some to give some around here

I just remembered I had a dream the other day where I accidentally gave away 12 merits to one post, that wasn't even all that good. Was kind of panicked about it. I really need to get a life.

What sort of savage would use CAD?

The real question is, "What kind of savage would use exchanges?"

Not only do you have to give up possession of your coins to exchanges to use them, now apparently you also have to surrender your anonymity.

Totally unacceptable.

Can you make me  one unique hat? I don't even have an Avatar

They don't get any more unique than this (unique might not be the right word here)

Is there any service that allows for setting alerts when a list of bitcoin addresses move? Some sort of address watchdog. Anyone knows?

Don't you think it will probably rebound on the lower yellow line and then break upwards before the weekend is finished? #reversebart

If you stay out of Fiat, numerous exchanges will work for anon crypto trading. But yeah, you wanna deal in Fiat, you gotta abide by the rules of the Fiat issuers.

I’m not particularly invested in the outcome - it could break upwards but classic TA says it probably won’t.  This is a good example of the price being continually ground down by descending triangles at all sorts of scales.   It’s this repeated macro pattern we have break to exit this bear market.

PS these notes are as much to myself as anyone else.
