Thanks, Bob. Bullish  Grin

In other news: interesting discussion on facebookcoin vs bitcoin:
https://www.barrons.com/articles/what-facebooks-cryptocurrency-push-means-51560539185

I agree with the following:
Quote
“There’s just not any innovation in it,” says Gabor Gurbacs, director of digital asset strategy at VanEck/MVIS. “It’s just Silicon Valley’s ongoing attempt to take bank profits from the financial services industry to Silicon Valley.”

In addition:
Quote
A spokeswoman for the Senate Banking Committee, which sent Facebook a letter last month with questions about the service, said Facebook has not yet responded to its questions.

I don't see how anyone can tolerate a single company non-public pseudo cryptocurrency.
Apart from being introduced by an entity with 2.4 bil users, it is basically the worse of both worlds (crypto and fiat).

Taken at face value (pegged to a fiat basket), it can literally destabilize dozens of smaller local currencies because given a choice, NOBODY will conduct in them vs some combo of main currencies.

Fully agree!

And after people realize that globalcoin is just a fake, they will turn to Bitcoin Smiley

This is just about advertising BTC to 2.4 billion ppl.  Grin

I myself like the '$10 million dollars' to run a NODE offer to major corporations and pegged to 'many' currencies, not just the USA dollar. Talk about wanting nothing

but 'control' indeed!

https://bitcoinist.com/visa-paypal-10-million-run-facebook-coin-node/'

sheesh, it is like GAW and Paycoin 'reborn' Sad

Like Hairy said, don't short bull markets.

It can work pretty well with proper risk management.

Just visualize:

The range we traded in the last 4 weeks was between 9100 and 7400.

Range trading can be visualized with the help of boundaries(Bollinger band indicator).
Short top, buy the dip.
Never try to catch the max and min, just swim with the flow(price action).

Just my 2 cents Smiley

I think that trading the price range can work, until it doesn't.

I don't sell enough quantity of BTC to care if my sell order ends up getting left behind with an inability to buy back.

Sidenote: without any meta-related drama, I think SaddamBitcoin earned some "trust" when he upheld his hard end of the bargain. I don't mean "Trust", but if there were good flags, I'd have spent one on him  Grin

He really did. No, there are no good flags, only bad. But these days I would still write him up a green trust for honoring his word.

Have you not watched that recent Black Mirror episode with two big straighties having weird VR videogame sex? It turns out it was all fine because they didn't want to get it on in real life.

That means that someday soon everyone on this thread will be able to have guilt free sexual intercourse with each other regardless of gender or persuasion. Perhaps there should be a set time on a Sunday afternoon or something just after church.

I love that show.. There's a lot of episodes that focus on infinite pain and sadness.. The rest have to do with uploading your consciousness into this or that object.

The first episode of the new season was in particular was bizarre. It raised a lot more questions than it answered. The biggest one: how does a man simulate having a vagina? I wonder what that's like, but not enough to do anything about it.

The thing is... What really matters are not ATH but bottoms. I mean, reaching or even surpassing some arbitrary utopian figure like $100K would be awesome but... unless one plans to sell it all/most trying to catch the ATH -which is risky business in itself- what really will count in the long term is how high the bottom afterwards will be.

Why do I say this? Because I think I am starting to delude myself into thinking that the next bottom will be high enough that I won't care about the correction/crash and not having sold at the top. Yes, I am thinking/hoping not only the next ATH is sky high, but the bottom is over the previous ATH ($19K). Something that will probably be the same mistake I did the last couple of times. And I will regret later.

But why am I posting this? I don't know, I am just thinking out loud.

A part answer/question thrown into the ring.

Its good to question your approach and strategy in all things really but it is especially important when dealing with financial instruments of any type. Trying to time or catching tops or bottoms is a dangerous game.

Having goals or definitive targets takes most of these worries away imho. How you structure your DCA or laddering is a purely personal endeavor and should be set up with flexibility in mind.

You should review said plan as often as you feel the need but deviating from your target or goals should only happen in extreme need. In other words, you seem to have a plan and are following it. Stick it out.

Not sure this qualifies as an answer but there you go.

Now...the question.

Port Control is requesting detailed clarification on your capitulation status...for science.    Grin
