Why would you buy goxBTC at .7 when its closer to .45 atm Cause Its still a profit in btc, until you convert it to FIAT. Its a great deal ( big margin) if currently you have FIAT on Gox.

Put a buy in a $4 as its all the gox bux I have. Lets see if it gets filled. However with these prices and residing in Japan with access to a "faster" deposit I am seriously considering injecting a little fiat.
Talk me out of it?
Having the same thought... So talk us both out of it. Sounds like the plan at Gox is working. I believe it is probably likely that Gox will not open withdrawals tomorrow. And, if they do come back with a reply that is vague (likely) it will cause even more dumping driving the price lower or at least keeping it in the 200s. So if I could get money there by Tuesday morning there may still be a shot at cheap coins. On the flip side, if withdrawal opens on Monday then (best scenario) I've tied up my money for 3-4 weeks trying to repatriate it to my account, or, (worst scenario) Gox is insolvent and I've thrown good money after bad. Decisions... decisions...

Checking my account info thought...
I got an email on Feb 3 that said:
We are pleased to announce that you are now able to enjoy our new and improved Japanese Domestic Transfer method to fund your MtGox account.
Starting from today onward please use the following banking information to start funding your account.
If you lost this email do not worry as this information is also available on the Funding option > Add Funds > Japanese Domestic transfer tab.
However I can not find any "domestic transfer" option in the funding. Even if I wanted to it seems I can't. Probably for the best.
Can anyone else in Japan confirm that they have a "domestic transfer" tab?

I like the looks of Bitcoincharts plots, but apparently they have some ideological grudge against Huobi and OKCoin, and will not even mention them. Their volume piecharts are meaningless (and do not say what time interval they cover)

Gox is very keen to offer Funding options, deposit through Moneypolo , Astropay etc. But no new options for 'Withdrawals' Does it ring a bell ?

What is really bizarre in all this is that holders of GoxBTC can currently exchange them for realBTC at 0.78 at bitconbuilder.com,
Perhaps MtGOX clients are not aware of that possibility. Perhaps there is some snag or limitation. Can they reallly do that with any amount of goxBTC?

Having the same thought... So talk us both out of it. I'm very jealous of both of you. I would've deposited last week, sold the GoxBTC into real BTC and come around for round 2 by now. Instead I'm waffling around trying to decide if it makes any sense to do an international wire.

lol @ anyone thinking the Gox staff is going to "cut and run". Have people become that stupid? I guess the current price is a reflection of massive herd mentality and stupidity. Oh well, more profit for me.

If anyone still have fiat stuck on Gox, please PM me and I will get it out for you at 100%. I can only do this for fiat.

To anyone that's used Gox recently - how long did it take your international wire to deposit?
The prices are too good to ignore right now.
I would actually also like to know this. mine took 13 days in November.

So you trade GoxBTC for GoxUSD? How is that going to help in a bankruptcy?
Well, I think that "he owes me 10,000 dollars" sounds more serious to a prosecutor or judge than "he owes me 50 bitcoins". On the other hand, once a MtGOX client sells his 1 goxBTC for 200 goxUSD, he forfeits his right to the 1 realBTC that he was owed before, and can sue them for only 200 realUSD.

There must be many Gox sellers reading this forum. Can at least one of you explain to us why you are selling at these prices?

It's not the staff who are the problem, rather the management. Stranger things have happened in the 'real' world, so I don't know why anyone is making such determinisms about crypto where anything can happen.
