The press is loving it, e.g.:
"BITCOIN TOUCHES $US220 ON MTGOX AFTER HORRIFIC 60% PRICE CRASH"
http://www.businessinsider.com.au/bitcoin-crashes-to-220-on-mtgox-2014-2

It is not just MtGOX's fault.  Blame should fall also on those bitcoiners that still refer to it as the main exchange, and on the chart sites that still show it by default.

Why do bitcoiners still refer to MtGOX as "the main bitcoin exchange", or even as a bitcoin exchange at all? For sentimentalism? For personal friendship? Because Mark is "one of us"?

So nothing changed really? It will probably take months again for people to get their coins out.

Stop spreading FUD
It's exellent news
Pretty much what everyone expected.

Problem is fixed / withdrals soon / daily limit soo no possible to crash stamp market

Haha man, i'm the last person on this forum to spread fud. I just don't see what the excitement is about.

Basically they are saying we will soon tell you how long it takes for you to get your coins out. Knowing Gox this might take months. If i had coins there this announcement would not make me happy.

Stockholm Syndrome

Haha yeah.

I guess this extends the bulltrap (It was too early to go down again anyway). Then the next leg down in a week will be driven either by  (gox continues to fail) or (gox coins hit the market and are dumped on stamp etc).

why are people buying?

I mean this news was as bad as it could be.

They simply can't announce: "Ooops aaaand it's gone. Sorry guys. We will make a withdrawal limit of 2BTC per day, that's all we can efford from the fees we took from you guys. Sorry again. Gox Will be back soon to take more of your money and ofc BTC ;=)) !"

Right. Because the bear market has to go on indefinitely.

You just as bad as any of the bears that spout its going down and the market is going to crash. Instead you spout nonsense about the price going up all day long.

The only legit market is a bear market, the only legit move is down, any move up = bulltrap, delusion

Haha look at the idiots selling again.

Now imagine watching this shit as an outsider. I do understand why so many peoe think Bitcoin is a joke. Because of people like Mark and the insane trading mentality Bitcoin right now is kind of a joke.

Because they still have the nerve to say

Not indefinitely but there are typically two distinct waves down from the plateau which span over 2 months and the second is caused by 3 day ema downcross.

Oh, please. You have been praying for cheap coins with every posts you've made for months. Its so obvious you want cheap coins even though you act like you think Bitcoin is doomed. You are dishonest in every way. I am very honest and open about my beliefs.
