99% he is joking
Boating accidents are NEVER a laughing matter. The Monero community was ravaged by a plague of them... Sad. Mic's BTC, my Ag, that one sock, the video from Epstein's cell... There is a mysterious place where all these things go.

Why do they have to make everything so damn difficult to service these days? Maybe I'm just getting old and inflexible...
While I do resonate with your frustration here, it is not entirely their fault. Just today I was revisiting a circuit I built almost 20 years ago. Miniaturization was my primary design goal and then I had a fair bit of feature creep...serious density...let's just say it is NOT easy to work on. All I'm saying is stop a minute and consider just what they are packing in there. That's a fair point. I'm just gonna run it without the battery until I can find a replacement. It seems that lithium ion batteries don't have a good shelf life though... ~5 years whether you use them or not. Makes me wonder about those Telsa power walls. Three things that kill LiIon Cells: 1. Having devices plugged in on mains all the time (Repeatedly charging between about 90 and 100%) 2. Storing them uncharged 3. Storing them fully charged If you store them, charge to 50-70%, check once a year. Always try to recharge between 10 and 30%, up to at least 90% capacity. Fully uncharging and then fully charging them again is not good for their lifetime, in contrast to NiMH or NiCd Cells. I prefer LiIon over LiPo whenever possible. Lithium-Polymer cells are real bitches to maintain. Thanks for the tips. Thinking back, I probably never unplugged that laptop! The problem is that manufacturers didn't ever support constant-on operation of laptops. Users should have option to disconnect internal batteries while plugged in. Maybe some milspec models under $5k do this, but i rather revolve my $1k laptops every 2-4 years. I don't have many options to choose from, because bottom ventilation is a no-go for me. I used macbooks a lot because of that in the past, before OSX and hardware quality both went shitty. It's what makes me replace my notebooks much too often. And they shouldn't have killed removable battery packs, just because that 3rd party battery problems. There were many post millenial models which ran on power supply with removed battery pack.

I like the idea of sun on my anus. Am extremely sure it has never occurred in the entirety of my life. I expect something like a beautiful bouquet of flowers to spring from it and float away followed by my arse giving a sigh of ecstatic relief.
