Guys, I need your coming up with a Christmas gift idea for my wife (that she didn't already instruct me to buy for her) and it can't be a hat!  Money is no object as long as it's under $100 - I need the cash for stackingsatsTM... okay I might be able to go as high as $110

Does she like to cook?
Japanese kitchen knives are sexy and an easy gift.  Here's where I'd recommend a start.  https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Japanese-Tojiro-DP-A1-Series-3Layers-VG10-Petty-Utility-kitchen-Knife-135mm-F304/321429563637?hash=item4ad6b1e8f5:g:km0AAOSwoBlaYhiA

This particular knife is highly used even with much more expensive and beautiful options at hand.

Edit: Just seeing your cooking comments now Wink

Watched this debate this morning from August. Well worth my 39 minutes.
Giacomo Zucco's style is so sharp and he clearly comes out as the smartest of the panel, big respect for this guy.  Saifedean is part of the audience and adds great argument.
What I found so intriguing is that the two men representing traditional finance look tired, grey, repetitive, old, worn out, and inflexible while those supporting bitcoin look lively, cheerful, smart, eager, hopeful, colorful, inspired, young, etc. With that I realized all we need to do is outlive these old farts for the inevitable win.

Thanks IcyG - that's a very creative idea and I'm sure Japanese cuisine would appeal to her she loves veggies, fish and rice.

Clueless!

Sorry, had to repost here...FakeSatoshi is following the 'fable' below to the letter!

Craig Wright says Blockstream Hacked him to forge documents! I mean how 'delusional' does he think we are?

He is dead on track and is now following this old Fable, but Time is running out! It is 'bleedingly' obvious with the 'fake private key' with Gavin Anderson

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gavin_Andresen not proving as he thought to get everyone to believe he was Satoshi, he has been just doubling

down and digging a deeper and deeper hole.

He is using the strategy below, but time is running out quickly, especially with, IMHO, his 'unexpected' loss to the Dave Kleiman Estate.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Kleiman. From his first claim to know, things have completely spun out of control for FakeSatoshi.

Anyway, it perfectly fits the fable below or his strategy, IMHO.

---------------------------------

Fable Title: Teach a Horse to Sing!

Link: https://www.beliefnet.com/columnists/mindfulnessmatters/2010/08/metaphor-monday-teach-a-horse-to-sing.html

So it goes like this.

According to an old story, a man

sentenced to be hanged fro offending the Sultan offered a deal to the court:

if they would give him a year, he would teach the sultan’s horse to sing,

earning his freedom; if he failed, he would go to the gallows willingly. When

he returned to the dock, a fellow prisoner said, “Are you crazy?” The man

replied, “I figure, over the course of a year a lot can happen. Maybe the

sultan will die, and the new sultan will pardon me. Maybe I’ll die; in that

case, I wouldn’t have lost a thing. Maybe the horse will die; then I’ll be off

the hook. And who knows? Maybe I’ll teach the horse to sing!

---------------------------------

Another saying, "You reap what you sow".

---------------------------------

This fable, IMHO, is 'exactly' what Craig Wright is doing with all his various denials/and contortions to get him out of his many, many, lies.

But Time is running out, and the 'explanations' are getting wilder and wilder. Teaching a horse to 'sing' at this point may be a lot easier than proving he is

Satoshi and the inventor of Bitcoin, at this point in time! He is well and truly screwed!

I really don't understand why people even bring Craig Wright up anymore.

Even if he has a nice stash of BTC... who cares?  He has a screw loose, just let him be loud by himself(?)

I wouldn't feel stitch of remorse to see CSW serve time in prison, just, not as Satoshi.
Better yet, I might rather see him bankrupt.

Why Exchanges Delist Coins

Quote
If you haven’t heard yet, CoinFloor announced that the exchange will be Bitcoin-only come January 3, 2020. That is, they’ll delist BCH and ETH and concentrate only on BTC.
Similarly BitGo is no longer supporting BSV given their p2sh rollback coming in a month. This is welcome news, not the least to the poor engineers in charge of having to keep the costly nodes upgraded and running.

This is the beginning of a trend and in this article, I’m going to show all that goes into supporting an altcoin and why an exchange might be delisting certain tokens.

Well, seeing as he's currently in the hole 500,000 BTC, its safe to say he's bankrupt. Of course he's contesting the ruling and all that, but every single person in the world currently has more bitcoin than him (so long as you don't owe somebody 500,001 BTC or more, it includes you).

For a while Calvin Ayre was considering buying out the Kleiman Estate, but whatever deal he was going to make seems to have fallen through.

Maybe Craig will just settle for all his patents, whatever nChain is worth when fully dissolved, and a lifetime of employment as butler for the Kleimans. That would be fair.

Wise move.

If I had a crypto related business right now (exchange, casino or anything similar) I would accept Bitcoin&Bitcoin LN and maybe monero for anonymity. The others are only there for speculation. No real world use, no users...

If I started an exchange one day it would be as simple as this:

USD > BTC (LN)
BTC (LN) > USD

It is that from the beginning it has always been like that, Bitcoin is the original, the rest are meaningless copies.
Surely one day an altcoin or several will be born for a specific use in the economic, technological or scientific field that could be useful for real life development, but always backed by BTC.

BTC dominance 68%

Not possible for an altcoin to go mainstream because the network would utterly crash. They will all hitting a wall sooner ore later.

Lightning is the closest sideproject ready for mainstream and it will replace many alts. You can build those features easier on top of Bitcoin.

It has crossed my mind that they could be the same person, or at least family style related.
