2019-a strange year by it's dynamics with a "camel's hump" in the middle.
Very unusual.

Dammit, today is the end of the year party or April Fools Day...

That account has long acted like several different people are using it.

One moment he's running his little fingers up and down his shaft at the prospect of BCH, a project with massive centralisation that has been 51 percented, and on the same day he's urging Bitcoin miners to change algorithm to save decentralisation.

Make up yer fuggin mind.

I can see why someone who's been around for so long will have gone mad, most seem to eventually, but I would expect him to be disenchanted by the tsunami of shit created rather than moaning about them not being taken seriously. There's still hardly anything that expresses the slightest interest in repeating BTC's principles.

Yeah, I have long said that either (twitter incarnation of) Cobra is a huge troll, or have some personality disorder, or he shares the account with multiple people. Pick any TWO.

My pick is that he is a huge troll AND shares the account with multiple people (which love to troll too).

Another one to the ignore list, you can't trust snakes.

Happy Preemptive New Years WOers !

A small competition to celebrate the ending of 2019 (and the bear season with it) and a welcome to 2020.

As always, name this landmark.  It is a major global landmark.  Usual rules apply: 10 merits to first person to name location.  V8 is only allowed two guesses per day. More pixels added at random intervals.  The full picture is identifiable as the landmark.

[edited out]

X7 is probably based on what is said on this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IXE1AKevRWA&t=2s Steve talked about a 800% rise after the sudden spike of the stock to flow ratio. I am not sure why though because he talked about mid-2016 and the rise was much than 800% if we have December 2017 as the ending point (he didn't explain clearly on the video).

If you pick some random price, then you could argue that we had a 8x increase in BTC's price in 2017, but the more accurate starting point would be the 2015 base of around $250, which would constitute a 78x increase in two years.

Of course, if you want to be a bit more conservative in your estimate then you could use the 2013 top of $1,163 - which would then give you a 17x increase.

None of those numbers are 8x..... even though it could be reasonably argued that this next time around might be more conservative and less extreme than the last time around... which might end up a 2x or a 3x, but likely a bit higher than that, so 8x would be reasonable for this next time around.

Again, we might get into questions regarding the base start off point, whether we measure from the previous ATH of $19,666 or some still to be determined base, such as $6.5k... I believe that it would be reasonable to use the most frequent base starting point, and maybe $6.5k would be reasonable as a base... but then it might be more reasonable to achieve 20x to 30x from such base, rather than using 8x as an expectation frame.

By the way, the guy in the video just seems to be throwing out random numbers and trying to sell his course, so I am not sure how much weight to give to him, especially if he does not know history, so how would he know the future, unless he is just randomly guessing and ends up getting it right?

Critic: Nothing backs Bitcoin.

Bitcoiner: What backs the dollar? Cheesy

Critic: An army on the outside and police on the inside.
Such backing is hard to dismiss.

Bitcoiner: Mathematics. Harder still.

(Just playing devil's advocate.)

"We"... (yeah the royal we)  don't need any more devils.

We need angels.

We need bull whale angels to be more precise.

I am praying for a bull whale angel.

Coming soon, to a theatre near you.

What will you have for dinner tonight?

This evening there is no food available other than pancake mix. But there are crap pans and the stove here is crap too so it takes multiple attempts to get anything worth eating. Last time I tried it in this place I wound up with a pile of stillborn pancakes about 1 metre across by 1 metre high.

NYE is a heap of shit so it gets no acknowledgement or special treatment from me.

And I wish the merit to go to someone more deserving. And who can cook.

We aren’t going out, I’m round the NOCOINER in-laws.

Just waiting for Chinese takeaway.

I’m having - Salt & pepper king prawns to start, beef with green pepper & black bean sauce accompanied with egg fried rice as my main.

Obviously getting fries, prawn crackers & vegetable spring rolls to dig into too.

Sadly I’m driving so no alcohol.

If you asked me this question last year my answer would have been cocaine washed down with champagne.
