I don't post here much anymore, but am a daily reader and long term bitcoin user. Just want to wish you guys the best, whether you own bitcoin, stocks or both; especially if you've invested large amounts in recent times, don't panic and make irrational decisions.
As someone who has seen many a bitcoin crash over the years, as many of you here have, things will definitely get better. I know quite a few here got in early can simply say "discount, buy more!' but for those who bought large amounts at $8000, $10000, $12000 etc and are continuing to hodl, I'm sure this is stressful.
Stay strong my bros, we will have our moment again no doubt in my mind!

...but suppose it turns out not to be an over-reaction ? Too late for that. This whole thing is already a joke. via Imgflip Meme GeneratorIt'a not about deaths. It's about lots of people getting sick and non-functional. Not enough medical personal to take care of them, choosing whom to cure and whom to leave untreated or half-treated. Read a bit what is happening in Italy and stop being so heartless.

Never selling

Well, I would have to say this has been the worst day ever of all my days in bitcoin (since April 2013) and I think I'm going to have to just not look at it for a while in order to give myself time to accept this shit. Of course, it is hard to stop looking at a car crash, so I'll probably last about 10 min.
HODL everyone! the central bank are not far off buying assets directly and helicopter money, this will flow into bitcoin too.

4700 was my entry price and it is gone.
Didn't sell. Riding to zero.
Just woke up in the middle of the night to check the price everything is going according to the plan. I successfully destroyed half of my net worth and life savings.

Anyone else feel like getting blackout drunk?
way ahead of you man I've finished drinking for the day. Started at 9:30am. Had a good nap. Continued drinking. I've never "lost" this much money in a single day before. Multiple millions across BTC and my traditional investments. This is fine. Hoards of zombies have not...I repeat...have NOT started assaulting the compound as of yet...still running heightened security protocol's and roving patrol's for safety sake until further notice just in case. Hunker down and hang in there folk's..the next 24 hours are critical... That is all.

https://twitter.com/AmateoRa/status/1237742662998011904"At present, the cost of mining 1 bitcoin is about $7,577.51. Assuming the network hashpower remaining same and with the introduction of the S19 Pro, this cost is expected to be at $13,964.11 at the time of the next block reward halving in early May 2020." These low prices are unsustainable. Buy now.

This is about making society work at bare minimum until the storm pass. I only hope someone will sit down when everything is over and establish lessons learned from this mess.

Not that I don't agree with you, but miners can also just turn off their rigs and the difficulty will plump until its sustainable again. And fees will skyrockt + blocks will be slow as heck until them.

Current market situation - “halving” instead of halving block reward mining, bitcoin decided to do a price halving... Dont want to check “fear index”, as it probably is on the max. Most stupid thing to done by me today - check price at night. Now I probably wont sleep till the morning

Without intervention millions of obese surely will die. Just bc they die slowly doesnt mean we should care less about them than a few thousand people who die quickly. Besides, we have no cure for Corona, but we can cure obesity so its like we are murdering them all if we don't change how we live our lives to save them. Hopefully we can learn from the countless millions of dead obese people.

Besides, we have no cure for Corona, but we can cure obesity so its like we are murdering them all if we don't change how we live our lives to save them. Hopefully we can learn from the countless millions of dead obese people. Let's follow your analogy with obesity. When obese person enters the factory nobody cares, he can do whatever he/she wants and it has 0 impact on others. When Corona infected person enters the factory the whole production line has to stop and everyone else has to be sent home to prevent them being infected, for at least the incubation period. Factory has to be disinfected, everyone can get back to work until someone else infected gets in, rinse and repeat the process. Which industry can sustain this? If there is no industry, where will taxes come to pay for all these government jobs? Do you now see how is this completely different ball game than any other illness for which we already have a vaccine?
