My best guess is that it will take institutional investors 2–3 months to triage their current portfolio issues. Another 3–6 months to research new opportunities like distressed debt, special situations, crypto, etc. Then, as they begin making allocations, those markets will really begin to rise. https://medium.com/@PanteraCapital/crypto-in-this-crisis-pantera-blockchain-letter-march-2020-4c73af3aaaf7https://twitter.com/dan_pantera/status/1243256048317878272

Got it right next to me actually. It's surprisingly inspiring.
How about that? It does find those that need it the most.

Freedom is just another word for nothing left to lose.
Damn right. Once you've lost that, you might just shrivel up and die.

UK Chancellor just said self employed people will get up to 80% of their earnings but we have to wait until June. It’ll be a 3 month pay out back dated to now so 3 x 80% what you earn.
It’s a good thing I have a couple of streams of income.
What would, for example a self employed electrician do who isn’t getting any jobs now. ‘Don’t worry, we’ll pay you in June’.
All this whilst teachers are off work until September on 80-100% pay. Farcical by the UK Government.
Well, those who refuse to chop wood for the winter are going to freeze. It sucks for the individual, but it is fair. You get what you fucking deserve, and whoever survives this mess will make better choices than people do now.

For a grumpy old bear with an orange face, you sure know how to create a lot of joy for a youngster! Lots of dancing and celebration here seeing you wear that hat similar to my reaction each time as well.

Numbers are out! We Havew an ATH! FED Asset Balance sheet: 5,254,278,000,000 USD It's a record! ATH! Layman: "Nice, but you'll end up with inflation with this!" "Even better! Government debt, corporate debt, everyone's debt is wiped away!" What is the magic? WjY? (/inside joke) Printing money is free. You can hand out Money to everyone without creating new debt. Brrr, money to everyone. Desperately seeking inflation since 2008, In the HOPE to create hyperinflation. The problem of inflation in reality is another one: slowly at start, then all of a sudden.

Yeahh, I'm bad, sorryyy.
Oh boy, lock it down: https://www.floridamuseum.ufl.edu/shark-attacks/yearly-worldwide-summary/I plead to you, not to ever go to the sea again, brothers. They're extra bitty this year, due to global warming. And it's only going to get worse. Extra care for the elders. They seem to be less chewy. Stay home. Stay safe. Costco loves you.

By the way, jbreher.., since I have you "on the line"....
It must have been some damned busy weeks for you since about early to mid March and thereafter keeping up with your buy/sell orders.
Busy? Naaaah. It takes about 12 seconds to place a contrasting order whenever a standing order is hit. So, should volatility take us five notches in a day, I've spent an entire minute on ladder maintenance. And made a big chunka change in the process. Takes me well over that to read even the briefest of your posts, wordyman. I guess it's you keeping me busy. Remember, boys and girls - with the right strategy, volatility can be your friend. Edit: in all fairness, each time a rung is hit, I ping the progeny - about half of which are employing an identical strategy (albeit with a proportionally lower amount of BTC on each rung), so that adds another few seconds.
