Around $400-$500

No, wait, around $600-$700 one month before the halving (july)

...and it doubled in New Year 2017,   [ ]

...and it went 40x (ATH) end-2017,   [ ]

...and is now 10x of what it was pre-2016-halving. Nice and healthy.   [ ]

I agree with everything that you say, except that I really doubt that we are going to get to perma-6-digits until perhaps after the 2024 halvening.  

Call me a fud dud.. but we could reasonably have bottom testings, after peaking in 6-digits in the $30k to $60k range.. any of those kinds of corrections, even though extreme, would be within reasonable expectations given bitcoin's already known history and the passion that bearwhales have historically shown to be ready, willing and able to push BTC prices down for as low and as long as they are able to accomplish..

seems like the first peak of the first wave is almost here after lockdowns and physical distancing restrictions.

... now how do we relax those restrictions to prevent a second peak? Or is that impossible? Do we stamp it out totally? Or get the fiat money-go-around whirling before it collapses in upon itself?

Maybe we need to have rolling lockdowns over the next 18 months? 4 or 5 peaks of the first wave (it's sounding like Elliot wave TA )

We are in uncharted territory something I never expected to see within my lifetime. Until there is a vaccine it is likely COVID-19 will be seasonal and will return. That is if we get it under control which is not a given. We don't know if it will mutate into a less virulent strain or become more infectious. And just like the seasonal flu we will most likely need a new vaccine each year. We also don't know yet to what extent survivors are immune to reinfection. Social distancing buys time until there are better treatments and a vaccine.

You should try social distancing from the WO Mr.Magazine.

Surely, I was not merely directing my comment only at you, Ibian... because it seems that you largely have been following a decently prudent practice and strategy of NOT have been gotten easily shaken out of your coins.

Sure, sometimes I have not really agreed with your previous doom and gloom BIG blocker nonsense or you bitcoin naysaying that revolves around purported in adequate BTC payment avenues that comes out from time to time, but in the end, you seem to have been buying on dips, DCAing and otherwise accumulating/HODLing your coins.

So ultimately, we might not get along well as citadel neighbors, but it seems that we are both going to be there in the citadel in some kind of capacity as principals (not servants like some others we may know).. even though I might have to complain about you as a kind of crazy-ass uncle.. who still happens to know about the value in accumulating and hodling our mutual king daddy..

It seems a major low is predicted, well below $3,000. Reaching a new ATH is also years and years away according to this prediction. Seems a lot of ‘ifs’ to me. Too many people are still looking for cheap coins.

Here is the daily increase in the number of cases for the top 8 countries with respect to total number of confirmed infections.  The China graph looks contrived IMHO.
I wanted to point out that those counties seem to have peaked - we're going to beat this thing.  Stay safe.

What i know from my national results is: Whenever the curve flattened it was either

a) weekend (less labs opened)

b) less tests carried out

I generally see a lack of tests within the last three days here.
Less tests, less positives. Always relate to the number of tests (plus lab processing time 1-2 days, in general).

I refuse to win.    I prefer to argue with you, even if you scream "uncle" (and maybe even proclaim that I am a genius) 10,003 times.

Frequently, what I am suggesting is that it seems to be much MOAR better to always prepare for both BTC price directions in such a way that you don't hardly give any shits about which way the BTC price goes in the short term as long as overall the BTC price has a bit of a tendency towards UPPITY in the longer term.

So, yeah, set some BTC buy orders in order that you can buy some lil fiends, if the BTC price dips down.

 Otherwise, just buy some lil fiends from time to time at whatever price she happens to be.

You, Oom, are likely already engaging in such a practice to largely prepare for both Up and down.  Nonetheless, there is nothing wrong with playing around a little bit here and there and see if you can time some purchases on dippities rather than on uppities... and if you are NOT playing around with too much moneys, then it should NOT matter too much whether you add a little to your stash at $5,901, $6,457 or at some other price in that broad range.  

Of course, it feels better on the margins to pick those lil bit lower prices, but in the grand scheme of things, NOT too much mental power or emotion should be expended upon these kinds of price differences except perhaps merely just a bit of attempting to learn from your experiences in regards to how to tweak here and there in such ways that causes uie to be NOT feeling too much emotion about these various ongoing  BTC accumulation/stackening efforts.

It was more like a joke, but i'll write that explicitly next to it from now on, uncle J (JOKING).
And yes, hunting dips is not necessary, but it delivers a good feeling if you hit some. In the end, in my case it results like buying at any price, because sometimes i hit, sometimes i miss. That little bit of extra energy (mostly time) going into "trying to be smart" (and watching the price more often) doesn't bother me that much.
