We'll be trading sideways for sometime and maybe a slight dip in there, somewhere. I see us ramp up June or July and we'll play this cycle all over again. The same old trolls will come out again and say bitcoin is dead and we'll do this dance again. +1 but where will the dip be ?? thats the last trade we will have to make for the next 6 months.

Someone suggsted that the low volume is due to the Spring break in US universities. I have been trying to find out if this weekend is especially significant in China, without much success. It seems that some universities start classes around this time, but others don't. Any clues?
I thought that perhaps the non-Chinese exchanges are the source of volatility, in spite of their small volume. Namely, 1 BTC of trade at Bitstamp moves the price by some amount, then arbitragers propagate the change to Huobi, and traders at Huobi react by swapping 10 BTC among themselves before settling more or less where they were before and propagating that back to Bitstamp. Thus, with the western markets shut down because of Spring break, the Chinese ones just sit still. Makes sense?
EDIT: one argument: in the Chinse exchanges the only asks and bids are for speculation inside the exchange, whereas outside China there are asks and bids that are generated externally, eg. by people who want to buy things with bitcoin.

The lull is because the big money is not using the exchanges you are keeping track of.

Its spring break. Half the normal traders are out gettin hammered, I know I am. Ah! "Fundamentals"! I recall seeing tumbleweed blowing through here when the universities open. Notable when you analyses the previous wall thread. I think a lot of traders are students. ... or university professors ?

so where exactly is the big money moving? All in the shadows or visible, if you know where to look for it?

i speculate we will see Litecoin over 20$ next week. With Huobi coming in this week , bitcoin running flat for days, investors search profits.

I read somewhere that huobi CEO would warn us one weeks before to accept Litecoin... could be false but anyway it's coming very soon for sure. Everything is set up to have a nice pump on Litecoin let's see. LTC/BTC charts is insanely bullish.

how do you know it will come this week? did they announce an official date? Next Wednesday 19th I believe...to da moon etc thanks, i also found this: http://www.coindesk.com/chinese-exchange-huobi-commence-trading-litecoin/litecoin is a good deal at the moment, happy that i bought some recently also the volume is insane, if you check btcchina and okcoin, the volume in cny is higher for ltc than for btc.
