Good morning Bitcoinland. Still going sideways in the low $6xxxx range... currently $61554USD/$76210CAD (Bitcoinaverage). Coiling. Go Bitcoin go. Here's a fun exercise... (this post probably belongs on the meta board, but whatever) Take anyone's total earned merits (excluding airdropped and merit source airdropped) and divide by their total posts (not activity), and you get one's average merit per post. Interesting metric. It seems to parallel a typical batting average in baseball major leagues. (I only checked a few well known legends, so don't quote me on that) Mine is .259... pretty average... lol
If you are over .3 ....respect above .4.... lemme know. I'd like to read your posts. The trouble with this is that it includes posts made before the meriting system started. This unfairly favors noobs and penalizes OGs. I thought of this.. My score was pretty good. But the first couple thousand posts I did here were probably all Poker oriented lol...

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

BTW.. To me, the fact that we are chilling this close to the ATH for this long is a very good sign that it won’t be the ATH for too much longer..
Long lasting ATHs usually dump off pretty fast..
Y’all ever seen a rounded top ATH in Bitcoin? Neh.. If it doesn’t blow off, it’s probably not a very solid ATH..
Good luck with your negative Nancy-isms and your seeming failure/refusal to pee pare ur lil selfie for UP... and yes, several of us have been to these kinds of price performance places in which bitcoin HODLers sell too soon and/or fail to buy enough to prepare for up.. been there done that.. and maybe you are right.... this time.. maybe, maybe... and maybe not.... I am thinking that you are not too likely to be correct, but hey what do I know?, I don't need another 8-10 years to get to fuck you status.. so I probably am not as enlightened as someone who has a pretty long time frame before getting to fuck you status and who likes to dabble in shitcoins (do we call that distracted thinking?), like uie pooie... hahahahahaha #nohomo. That’s not negative jay.. I’m saying that since we are riding so close to the ATH all this time and haven’t severely dumped off from it, that that last ATH won’t likely stay the ATH for very long, because it will get passed.. Meaning will will probably have new ATHs coming soon.. That’s positive.. I feel pretty prepared for UP.. Feel pretty good indeed..

Old news . Withdrawals have been open for over an hour They are claiming a backlog of withdrawals?... Mempool been practically empty the last 12 hours... How many withdrawals could cause a backlog? and if that's the case, it mean less coins to be traded...

Hmm... This is going to be interesting too. Supply shock? Hack? Fractional reserve gone boom? No, it's just the Chinese mentality profiled through the teaching and development methods of the Communist Party of China - if you have absolute power, you can do what you want and when you want. I would not be surprised if CZ and his company are not deeply connected with the Chinese government. This Chinese guy to the right of Mao Zedong just reminds me of CZ, who knows maybe they're related

For all the Euro Based WO Denizens, I made a little graph: How many Bitcoins are needed to be an Euro-denominated Millionaire? Anwser: a little bit less than 19. It's not only the number, it's the trajectory to get here that make you think: | | | | Red Line is the BTC number to hold 1 Million EUR (LH scale) | Zoom on last year | SpreadSheet LinkDo you really think this is going to stop now? Do you really want to catch the falling knife? HODL.

But now to the game, where did I get my chocolate? Well... it's not your usual car parts/cafeteria (Carkea?) Some sort of discount vitamin store? Perhaps your local "Doktor Mat"? Definitely a Nordic Wellness, but based on the red slate roof in the background, I'm thinking my first guess was wrong and this is the Nyköping City location. Västra Storgatan 13, 611 31 Nyköping, Sweden From Google Maps streetview you can see the slate roof in the background.

I was thinking about Zuckerbergs new metaverse, wouldn't that make it possible for them to/users to collect/upload enough information to create a autonomous personality that can live on after the person dies. That way you can still "communicate" with your dead friends and loved ones. That would be pretty cool.
You describe quite accurately one of the episodes of Black Mirror ('Be right back'). You might want to check that episode to re-evaluate if that will be really a cool thing to have, for me it would be a very scary thought. Max Headroom had it covered decades ago.

This unfairly favors noobs and penalizes OGs. Indeed. Good point Jim. I actually thought of that after I posted. I think I mentioned it when I originally brought up this metric about a year ago in the thread. I suppose one could adjust one’s post count to exclude all posts made before merit system was implemented, to eliminate that “hidden variable”.

Is communicating with the dead the reason they chose the name Meta (means dead in Hebrew) Mark Zuckerberg being from a Jewish family would obviously know this.
Meta is an anagram of meat. Users will be Zuck's meat-puppets.

How many withdrawals could cause a backlog? and if that's the case, it mean less coins to be traded... I suspect a lot of withdrawals will happen now .not your keys et cetera There are tons of legitimate, simple, routine reasons an exchange would need to shut down withdrawals. And if I were CZ I would make a simple one line explanation of the reason an absolute must. As some have suggested this could be cultural. They could be updating one of probably 2 dozen software systems that enable the withdrawals. Maybe even their bitcoin daemon. But the history of exchanges halting withdrawals is peppered with worst case scenarios. So when a big exchange does this we all jerk our knees a little. All they would have to say is "routine maintenance" or "planned update" or something to make a huge difference. Now, on the other hand, I have to admit I like ANY event that gets people to take their damn bitcoin OUT OF exchange wallets. For several reasons, but one of the biggest is things get really interesting the less liquid Bitcoin ends up becoming. It is going to become very expensive to acquire eventually.

Lightning ALREADY does milli-sats. I agree a fork is likely, but even if Bitcoin never did add further digits past the dot, lightning will have evolved to the point that channel management is so automatic that a closing channel would clear the millisats to somewhere else, like another channel, before closing.
Wasn't that the plot to Superman 3?

Wasn't that the plot to Superman 3? Personally I loved the movie as a kid even though it was as stupid as hell. Pamela Stephenson looked fine. Wow. Funny that supposedly she was a genius underneath her dumb bombshell looks.

Just erase/blur the revealing spots of the pics. There's a lot of information in the Dude's where-am-i pic that i never saw in your studio/garden photos to this grade. I'd consider them as SAFU EDIT: Too many bearish posts here today, that should be a massive green candle, soon. It'll only be a matter of time before an AI can run any outdoor picture against Google Earth and make good matches.
