There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Note that they never do it with a high-dollar condenser, usually your basic dynamic mic. But still....

I would probably murder the bastard that dropped my rhodium plated U87.

Absolutely serious.

Nobody would really handhold such an exclusive Neumann. If so, he almost deserves death without even dropping it.  Wink
While Electro-voice's look like they were built for dropping on a regular basis Cool
(I once owned an EV-PL10 that died, used it on stage a lot for micing my snare drum, this one could take some good hits and also some spilled beer).

The neodymium EVs have a spring metal head basket... I thing I don't know why ALL mic makers do not so.  I could bounce it off a concrete floor, and the only damage it would take is it might lose some of the black color where it hit...  Sharpie will fix it! This is most certainly not a rhodium plated 87...  but it's a great talkback mic. Wink  (actually it's very interesting for lots of things. magic on a bass amp...)

Smart contracts?  Yes this is a VERY interesting idea. And the lightning network is built on them, for example.

Lightning doesn't do smart contracts. That would be Liquid.

I didn't say lightning DOES smart-contracts (though it could) it is BUILT out of them.

Lightning bi-directional payment channels are multisig smart contracts on the Bitcoin blockchain.  One of the only smart-contracts on a blockchain being USED for something other than pure speculation.  Smart contracts are how lighting works.  They are designed to be trust minimized settlement contracts.

And, on another note, you gave up on the cunt topic?  even after you saw the post-history evidence provided by yours truly?

hahahahaha

Weak..;

Weak.

I must say..... weak....

We already had this discussion a couple of years ago ....

But of course! link or it didn't happen
.....

....... because I have too many posts to sort through...

......
You don't say...

.......

Read it and weep!!!!!  Found it buddy.

Right around March 2019 there was quite a few posts on "the topic."

Look:

wait wat. surely 'cunt' is pejorative in all flavours of English bar some Aussie banter?

It's not just the Aussies but the Brits too. Even some Canucks who wish to project a Brit/Aussie affectation.

The important thing is to never use it with a woman, only men can be called cunts.

Funny. Women can call men pricks but men can't call women cunts.  Roll Eyes

Bad cunt is perjorative.  Good cunt is affectionate.

You are good Jay. That's some bad ass searching my friend. I'm reading and weeping a river no less.....

See also Charlie Lee with Litecoin and Roger Ver & whatever other assholes were involved with Bitcoin cash.
Despite the fact that Charlie and Roger are close friends, I still would not put him on a par with Roger just for the reason that he is an avid collector who, as far as I know, has not sold any of his bitcoin coins (if this is not a dubbing).

Besides, if you were in his place at the time, and would have had the same opportunities - who knows what kind of shitcoin you would create.

My greatest wish in life is that when she dies, there are numerous parades worldwide....

...not to honor her life, but to celebrate her death.

Joyfully singing "Yay, the wicked witch is dead!"

Fuck that wealthy elitist bitch.

Too bad she doesn't make movies with Alec Baldwin.

... Alec Baldwin and Dick Cheney are on a set making a movie about going hunting together ... who gets shot?

Greedo
A wall then Greedo
Greedo and a wall together at the same time.

This Alec Baldwin malarky is a great distraction from the MAIN news today: that basically the US president said he will go to war with China if Taiwan is attacked.

 Shocked

Not a single media outlet is leading with that. Which one will affect the average "joe" more?

He says it so that it doesn't need to happen, so most people don't need to care.

If he didn't say it, while China is putting pressure on Taiwan, then that would be worrying.

If Taiwan is attacked and not defended, their plan of last resort is to blow up all semiconductors plants.

Then we will be in trouble.

I'd be truly surprised if anything became of it. China is too vested in the U.S. to sink their interests, and the rest of the worlds'. That type of war isn't really being fought anymore, we've moved on to other ways, with combat performed by contractors in 3rd world proxys.

The texture of the springs would affect the sound quality of a precision mic. These are more utilitarian and therefore do not have to be as precise in reproduction of enharmonics and timber.
As a road mic, yeah it'll do, but for studio sound you need a bit more responsive and precise technology. (This Means Fragile!)

I'm glad to see there are folks who have faith in the restraint of China's global ambitions... personally, I'm afraid Ji will launch an attack the moment his citizenry starts to get restless and unruly due to the collapsing economy. And as for Ole Joe following through with his tough talk, yea... don't hold your breath.

Eh we just got out of a stupid boring war. One with China would at least allow the use of the fun high tech stuff.

But what's the point?
