if you think that going from 65 to 650 is the same as going from 65000 to 650000, I beg to differ.
I did not even say the thing that you are accusing me.
I did not say it was the same, but I suggested that network effects likely cause it to not seem to be as difficult, such as
100x 10x (whoops.. both of them were 10x not 100x), as you are trying to make it out to be.. or whatever nonsense you our putting out there.
Let me try saying it like this.
We went from $65 to $650 in late 2013 - so sure that was on the way to $1,163, so we corrected back down to the $200s for a considerable amount of time before passing through $650 again in May 2016 and then again in September or so of 2016... so yeah.. we could say that it took about 3 years to get from $65 to pass above $650 in any kind of solid way.. but really there has not been much of a return to those kinds of $650 levels..
So now we are 100x higher at $65,000 and there is a question in your mind about how long it might take to get 10x to $650k and perhaps if the market has to grow more than 100x or even 1000x to be able to get from $65k to $650k... so sure, are we at a base with $65k, yet? or we not quite in a place to be able to get to $650k because $650k could be part of next cycle rather than this cycle?
I think that it is better to be attempting to look at our bouncing off points in regards to whatever cycle we are talking about in terms of trying to figure out if the BTC space has been able to grow enough in order to support another 10x magnitude jump at this price like it did in its jumping from $65 to $650 between late 2013 and late 2016.
If we consider our jumping off point for this particular run to be $4k, then the 10x was already achieved by reaching $40k, and $40k seems pretty solidly behind us (not that we might not be revisiting $40k at some point), but it makes little sense to be using $65k as if it were a jumping off point.. and even nonsense because it is a top of a previous peak, so if we want to talk about a bouncing off point, we might talk about $30k.. and then bouncing to $300k? Yes.. bouncing to $300k seems quite a bit more reachable for this cycle than $650k - and that would be a 10x increase also, if we are referring to $30k as our bouncing off point..and maybe more realistic rather than needing to wait until next cycle for $650k is solidly reached (not even saying that $650k might NOT be reached this cycle, but just that the numbers that we are working with are a wee bit weird).
It ain't..that is NOT to say that it cannot, it's just a completely different story.
At 650k, bitcoin is (will be) geopolitical.
Right now, it still looks like a very large cap stock (in size).
At 13.65 trillions (eq to 650K price), it would be large countries "playground".
Sure.. the little baby bitcoin is getting bigger.. sure.. sure .. sure.. instead of barely being noticeable and 1/1,000 or smaller the size of gold, it is currently 1/10 gold and surely approaching the size of gold and many of us realize that bitcoin is 100x to 1,000x better than gold, so we know where bitcoin is going, and not even saying that there won't be some more battles along the way. Most certainly there are going to continue to be battles, but there is still a lot of value that can flow into bitcoin along the way too.
I hardly even understand your point anymore... except you are trying to suggest that there is not enough buy support to keep bitcoin up in price or to have another 10x from here... ok. whatever.. sometimes price support is both a product of time and also just Lindy effect dynamics of continuing to trade at certain prices.. which bitcoin has already been passing up the value chain to get larger and larger, and it is likely going to continue to get larger and larger - even if it is being noticed more by actors who
now want to kill it but had not previously noticed it, but at the same time we have other actors who
now want to invest in bitcoin but had not previously noticed it.
We do not just have one side of the ledger to consider we have back and forth and ongoingly we have new players coming into the bitcoin space.
