So is CSW just trying to fill the role of "China bans bitcoin"?

It hurts my soul that "burning Satoshi's bitcoin" even comes up here.
This is completely counter to the entirely thing that makes Bitcoin different than 5000 shitcoins, and the current monetary system.
I suppose it would be possible to do in a manner that takes consensus into account (the mentioned BIP), but I would think that the majority of nodes (validating nodes as well as mining nodes, thank you very much) would not run software that did this.
We would end up with another fork. And it would damage Bitcoin in the same way previous forks did. Which in one sense is not at all, but in another sense is quite a bit because there are STILL people confused about what bitcoin actually IS.
"Satoshi's Bitcoins" are just part of the deal. They will always be on the blockchain. They are made of pure math which is immutable.
We cannot change the rule in the middle of the game without doing damage.
And CSW is a fraud.
PS. There is ONE WAY I think would be OK to burn Satoshi's Bitcoin. And that would be if the holder of those keys sent those coins to an address for which there is no known private key. THAT is how bitcoin was designed to work.

edit: can we just burn satoshis bitcoin? can someone make a BIP? And which bitcoins are Satoshi's? faketoshis bitcoin. the list of addresses he claims to be owner of. but this is just a theoretical and joking question. I'm not sure if this would be a good idea. But it would be funny. court forces core devs to give faketoshi access to addresses and instead core devs burn the bitcoin on these addresses

But it would be funny. court forces core devs to give faketoshi access to addresses and instead core devs burn the bitcoin on these addresses Faketoshi(s) could also claim my bitcoins are theirs. Coming into an agreement that my coins won't be spendable due to that fact is against censorship resistance and will only bring damage to the project.

That's exactly what I meant in my earlier post. It's the first time in my life that I wish for someone to die a slow, agonizing, horrible death, rusty pipes included. CSW is a bag of lies that squeaks every time it is pushed by its masters. There is panic there every time bitcoin hits new ATH. Get used to it!

The problem I see in the Craig S. Wright trial: most, if not all of the judges and legal people, generally don't understand (and many don't like) the concept of Bitcoin and its fundamental properties that make it what it is.
I was talking to my best friend about bitcoin and his final conclusion was he like a centralized currency system. In his opinion without centralization there will be kiosk everyone LOL. Well, I gave him time for the next 10 years. I will be seeing if he still thinks the same then.

Bwoomp! Interesting, this happened right on the US CPI data release. The US CPI (Inflation, basically) surprised on the upside. Gold Spiked Bond fell, BTC moved in sync with the traditional finance world. Not sure if I like that.
