Moderate inflation (10% ish) doesn't kill countries, I grew up with inflation like that, everybody just adapts. The reason Ceylon is going belly up is because they outlawed artifical fertilizers and "went green" to the point where people couldn't make a living anymore. No fertilizers=smaller crops=less income=belly up. but you won't see that in MSM. Edit: maybe you will after all. https://www.nytimes.com/2021/12/07/world/asia/sri-lanka-organic-farming-fertilizer.html

What if this cycle is rolling faster and we're somewhere between depression and disbelief? Until we experience full anger from all the shit coins that finally go to the trash can as expected (anger from Bitcoin dropping in price as a casualty). The volume levels are still higher than they would be if we reached capitulation. The MSM is going to have to "forget" about the corn before we can finally reach the true bottom. I agree with you here, it's too early for a bottom, personally I think we will go a little lower, maybe 17k or thereabout in the end of the year, and from there we will get the traditional slow up.

Yesterdays huge sell off did slow down the pump considerably. We might be in for another dip soon before we see the real pump again. I would wager 15k Damn I'm legendary guys! If President Trump was constantly saying the cues that are on the teleprompter that shouldn't be said like Biden is now saying on a daily basis: "End of quote / Repeat line / You know walk away." etc, the media would have been up in arms about that I'm sure.

What if this cycle is rolling faster and we're somewhere between depression and disbelief? It seems to me that we are rather in a recession cycle, but unlike the classical economy, the cryptosphere has its own characteristics and develops depending on the needs of users, unlike the movements of the classical sphere of the economy. But bitcoin plays an important role here in the end, and now bankruptcy processes are taking place here, as in the banking sector, so where the alternative, bitcoin becomes centralized, this may be the problem. And congratulations on the Legendary rank.

Maybe they need more guns?
That's a trick question. Who doesn't? I am currently in the market for an exceedingly smooth, low recoil 45 (or maybe 9mm... capacity? Stopping power? Dilemma extraordinaire! ). I want, as I terminally perforate the bastard who is coming into my house to harm my family, not to put any undue stress on my wrist. So I will be trying out a plethora of options at the local range. Will let anyone curious know what I discover. Suggestions welcome. Yes. I am doing this on purpose. This is sort of like when someone on twitter starts posting things to get unfollows. I am looking for ignores. Also Monero matters! OK... I don't REALLY want Jay to ignore me, so I take it back. Sort of. By the way. Japan just disproved a lot of firearms legislation arguments. Keep in mind, larger, heavier frames generally translate to lower recoil. I personally really like my S&W MPShield, but that's because my priorities are different. 10+1 in double-stacked .45 with a 4" barrel makes it the best best punch I could find for a CCL daily friend. It's not as smooth & gentle as a heavier 5" 1911, but strangely seems to kick a good deal less than my wife's LCP .380 did. (Not a good choice for anything beyond being small enough to fit in the pocket of girl jeans) She upgraded to a HellCat which is much easier to shoot and gives her 13+1 capacity but is a little bigger and the 9mm stopping power is still a little underwhelming. Also want to note, don't forget about the .40 cal. It offers more capacity than the .45 without reducing the punch down to a 9. Now just for funzies, we unwrapped and broke in a brand new AK chambering 12g 3.5" mag to celebrate Independence Day last weekend. 30 round magazines alternating between 00 buck & slugs, that puppy certainly wasn't "gentle" but at 20 yards it made a watermelon evaporate in one shot and a slug put a 1" hole through an old steel propane tank. It was scary how easy it was to be consistently accurate, in fact a second slug was passed through the same hole in the propane tank and the only reason we knew it wasn't a miss was because the tank jumped 6 feet and on closer examination found the exit hole to be a little off from the first round. Just a helluva fun way to celebrate Independence with a Russian twist.

I don't know about this "recession" We have the lowest unimployment rate in a very long time in Sweden, and as I understand it this goes for the rest of the westrn world as well, that's not a recession.
Housing prices are plummeting and inflation is high, but no one is out of a job, this seems to me more like a normal correction in the housing market and a adjustment to a high inflation environment.
The war is also good for the economy, everybody now sees the true face of Russia and is therefore arming up, on top of that all that equipment given to Ukraine has to be replaced by new equipment. And on top of that comes the lend-lease deal, which will give Ukraine spanking new equipment that has to be produced. Remember, all the equipment given to Ukraine so far is outside the lend-lease deal, when that equipment starts to be delivered there will be a torrent of equipment going in to Ukraine not seen since The US sent lend-lease stuff to USSR during WW2.

Re ringworld-awesome sci-fi, not sure it could be detected with JWST, though...if it exists. Generally, no systems are 100% efficient and heat radiation occurs.
Ringworld definitely not 100% efficient due to being a ring. Standard gravity presumably more important than worrying about suns burning out. Still an amazingly huge land area. Apparently there is enough material in the Solar system to build a 3 meters thick Dyson sphere. It's not very thick, and wouldn't make an enjoyable place to live on (aside from the fact you need to live on the outside so no natural light either). If the goal is only to get the energy, and people would only live on smaller sections, maybe on rings, then there should be scope to have mountains, oceans etc. Now how do you make it move relative to the rest so that you have artificial gravity, I don't know. I'm not that sure there is such a need for energy, and apparently the theorists are wondering about that, too.

If you're in the US and feel the need for a gun, go for it, who am I to say otherwise ? In my country however I don't need a gun, nobody I know needs one, and if someone invades my home, they won't have a gun either. Even local police used to not have guns, and only some of them now have one. What happened in Japan isn't proof of anything, it's not like the perp shot and hurt dozens of people like happens regularly in the US. He could have killed Abe with a knife or a bow and arrow... If President Trump was constantly saying the cues that are on the teleprompter that shouldn't be said like Biden is now saying on a daily basis: "End of quote / Repeat line / You know walk away." etc, the media would have been up in arms about that I'm sure. Yet a half senile man beat Trump soundly, that's how bad the orange one was. At this point I think it's time for Kamala to take over, whatever you think of her. And maybe think about age limits for the presidency (and supreme court).

I was referring to the recession as a concept that can be applied to the bitcoin market in this period of time. The war has a positive impact only on developed markets, it has nothing to do with Russia's backwardness, now the country is rolling into the abyss.

A recession is when GDP goes down. It's not directly related to employment. If resources are so scarce and expensive that you can't build more stuff (cars, as an example), then you can't sell more stuff, and in fact make and sell less, then you have a recession.

As for age limits... who cares about age? however levels of senility , that is another topic, do not care how old you are, as long as you have your faculties.... some people are as sharp as tacks until they day they die.... Biden, obviously is not a well man, and at this stage it is basically elder abuse. As far as Biden goes, apart from anything else, the guy, must have literally not a soul in the world that cares about him who has the power to extract him from this situation and have him looked after, which is what he needs.
