It is safe to say now that the 10th Jan will be the D-day. Almost 2 weeks to the next milestone in the mass adoption. Some will try to milk the pump with high leveraged longs. But they might get rekkt. Although I expect 50K in the next month, I'm looking for the real impact of these multi trillion companies on the spot market. The next 2 years will be fun to watch. 100K is inevitable. I guess a peak above 200K in this bull market is quite possible. We should be prepared.

Pretty exciting.  Seems to me each time we have seen the big news though the market sells.  That classic strategy?

I suppose we could see some sort of mini blow off.

Unless...  Nah.  never mind.

Incredible man how, two years ago it was at 50,822 , one year later go down till 16,822 and now we recover like a beast and we are in a solid 44k.

Cant wait to next year to see what number is waiting for us, are we gonna finally reach the 6 figures? We are so long on 5 figures.

 I'm no producer but it feels like he added distortion to everything - including the title! (Smokin" rather than Smokin')  Still a good tune after all these years.

I like it too, and I am pretty sure that I had that on cassette around the time that it came out... and surely the opening bit of the original recording.. was meant to be a kind of teaser.. which was done well.

Aldo Nova has aged pretty well (especially if that is his real mop of hair at 62 years old in the video that you linked - a lot of guys "grow" a kind of hair envy, including but not limited to yours truly), yet there is something about the energy and voice of his youth (even though surely it was dubbed over and even the studio version likely sounds better with that kind of a song)... .. but it is a nice (or might we suggest "fun") song.

Surely you have come around off of your negative perspectives from a year ago.. ivomm.. it is like you blow with the wind, but hey don't we all.

$200k seems a bit bearish in regards to upside possibilities, and surely upside possibilities are likely way higher than $200k, even though $150k to $300k could be kind of base case scenarios, so $200 is surely in the middle of that... and surely we have scenarios that are more bearish that would finish less than $150k and we have scenarios that are more bullish to finish higher than $300k.  I personally have not gotten brave enough to assign odds to each of the scenarios, yet surely the various scenarios have to be more bullish than the odds that I had assigned at the end of 2021 (for that cycle - especially since we are in a new cycle, no?).  How much more bullish is another question, and I am even doubting that I need to change my December 14, 2021 prediction (probabilities outline) very much, just make it a bit higher and voila.. new chart for new cycle.

Sure, we are progressing upwards, and just like 2, 3 and 4 figures have become a relic of the past, 5 figures is also likely going to go there, too.. even though it can be difficult to know how long it is going to take.  Surely, in November 2022, we were close revisiting 4 figures again, but ended up not happening, as we know, and likely 4 figures has become a relic of the past.

From my below chart (that shows end of the year - end of November beginning of December), if you just focus on the RL-Price (BTC spot price) as compared to the BTC Bottom (200-week moving average), you will see that the bottom keeps moving up, which would be part of the argument regarding why not to get too preoccupied or obsessed over whether the BTC spot price might be going up or down from time to time (whether yearly or other time periods).. In other words, the 200-week moving average (or the BTC bottom) has, so far, continued to move up over all time periods (knock on wood)...

Actually if you go to look at my full-chart (by clicking on the below link), you will see that the worst period for the amount that the 200-week moving average has been moving up on a 6 month's basis had been the past 18 months - at least the calculations between June 2022 and November 2023, which largely shows that the 200-week moving average had ONLY gone up on average of 20% per year during that worst (so far) ever period of BTC's history.

Some weird s-t is going on, not on bitcoin, of course, but I cannot fully ignore it, watching it with my "peripheral" vision.
Imho, there are "pumper" groups working in unison causing some tokens to "pop" 50-90% a day, then moving to other "targets".
Kind of amusing and annoying at the same time.
I do not have schadenfreude regarding somebody who has these gains, temporarily, I might say.

Not a time to be bearish on bitcoin, though, and I am very happy with "our" ~160% gains for the year to-date.
