Just a little context surrounding this track. Four years ago my then 12 year old daughter loved doing the Pokemon thing. She sent me an Xmas Pokemon poem she wrote and asked me to put a fun strum to it. So here is the as of yet unreleased "Pokemon Xmas" she wrote and I recorded in 2019 in all its raw and un-auto tuned glory. Added note ....I liked the end result much more than she did.....lol. Merry Pokemon Xmas bros. https://soundcloud.com/sirazimuth/pokemon-christmas

Came down with the flu. Is it COVID? I wonder... Got to check it out.
If symptoms were setting on rather fast, it's likely something different than Covid. However, being sick isn't making anyone feeling comfortable, a real flu can be quite harsh, too. Get better soon!

Wtf… ?? Not reading history books in here That's not history. true, it's fantasy I don't know why but words seem to trigger my music memory quite often Aldo Nova-Fantasy 2021 Smokin" Hot Version I'm no producer but it feels like he added distortion to everything - including the title! (Smokin" rather than Smokin') Still a good tune after all these years. I like it too, and I am pretty sure that I had that on cassette around the time that it came out... and surely the opening bit of the original recording.. was meant to be a kind of teaser.. which was done well. Aldo Nova has aged pretty well (especially if that is his real mop of hair at 62 years old in the video that you linked - a lot of guys "grow" a kind of hair envy, including but not limited to yours truly), yet there is something about the energy and voice of his youth (even though surely it was dubbed over and even the studio version likely sounds better with that kind of a song)... .. but it is a nice (or might we suggest "fun") song. Here's the earlier version with the suspenseful opening. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vPQgfaB3S1cThe old days *sigh*... He looks totally baked at 3:12

Yo...get better soon! Came down with the flu. Is it COVID? I wonder... Got to check it out.

Thanks guys! OOM, I thought about this too. Symptoms came very quickly, and soon after a couple of dinners with friends, so I also think it probably isn't COVID. I had an old COVID test kit at home, which had already expired (about 1 year past expiration). I did it nonetheless, and it came out negative. Quite harsh indeed, high fever, shivers, cycling on/off between painkillers. Came in the most unfortunate of times...

Some weird s-t is going on, not on bitcoin, of course, but I cannot fully ignore it, watching it with my "peripheral" vision. Imho, there are "pumper" groups working in unison causing some tokens to "pop" 50-90% a day, then moving to other "targets". Kind of amusing and annoying at the same time. I do not have schadenfreude regarding somebody who has these gains, temporarily, I might say.
Not a time to be bearish on bitcoin, though, and I am very happy with "our" ~160% gains for the year to-date.
I've seen this happen every cycle. It does seem a bit early for this as other cycles they started after the halving. I think anticipation is accelerating the shitcoin space. It's funny because they all reference "the halving" yet they are so focused on shitcoins. How can you acknowledge that Bitcoin is king and drives the entire market yet not want to own it?

Merry Christmas! Jesus came to this world so that we can receive the salvation of our souls. For some this is just a legend or a wishful thinking. But for me this is a reality which I continue to experience every day in my life on this Earth. Let the new year bring to my bitcoin brothers more happiness, health and bitcoin price skyrocketing!

From A. Hayes: https://cryptohayes.medium.com/expression-f580605ebccdHe doesn't want ETFs to be too successful as Blackrocks of the world don't care about the transactions via bitcoin and perceive it just as an asset. According to Hayes: Imagine a future where the largest Western and Chinese asset managers hold all the Bitcoin in circulation. This happens organically as people confuse a financial asset with a store of value. Because of their confusion and laziness, people purchase Bitcoin ETF derivatives rather than buying and hodling Bitcoin in self-custodied wallets. Now that a handful of firms hold all the Bitcoin, and have no actual use for the Bitcoin blockchain, the coins never move again. The end result is miners turn off their machines as they can no longer pay for the energy required to run them. Bye-bye, Bitcoin!
It is beautiful when you think about it. If Bitcoin becomes just another state-controlled financial asset, it dies because it isn’t used. and Either you are trading a financial asset to earn more fiat, or you are trying to preserve wealth in energy terms alongside using a financial system outside of the state’s control. In the former case, trade ETFs to your heart’s content. That is why they exist. In the latter case, you must buy Bitcoin and withdraw it from the centralised exchange to your own self-custodial wallet. Ditto to the latter quote.

This is exactly one of the futures I see. It is the side effect of the ETF that could even delay Bitcoin. If the ETF ends up controlling a large enough percentage of the finite asset then Blackrock (or whomever) can manipulate it more easily. But I think it will be impossible for anyone to sustain that sort of control as it will cost them too much to do it. It is interesting that in the west this is the likely pathway for many to store their wealth in "Bitcoin" while Africans, for example, are using lightning wallets to carry out actual daily business. The solution to this is for as many of us who are lucky enough to understand Bitcoin can hold it ourselves. Then Blackrock will only be able to control a certain portion of the asset, and therefore will not be able to corner the market or dilute it with paper. This is also why I am rooting for distributed custodial solutions to also emerge. The ETF model is very pure. They hold the Bitcoin, you hold a share. But hopefully we see options in which more holder sovereignty exists. Federated models. Covenants etc.
