I didnt understand the Bitfinex FUD in the first place, it didnt apply to open orders, just new ones so how was that supposed to have caused a mass sell off? What was the finex update? I've just been supplying swap for months. Probably should check on that.

That is 1) a great example of making a chart to fit your bias, 2) simply the worst chart I have ever seen. It is hard to believe DanV has followers.

The good thing about the bitfinex leverage decreasing is that we will probably see soon a huge oversupply of swap. If we get another uptrend i assume that at least 25-40% from the lenders money will be used to buy BTC on Finex, or maybe even more if the swap rates should go down to a not really worthwile rate.

Again? The 15th time in the last 4 weeks. Works well drawing lines on a chart.

Like I said, we're not allowed to leave the 615-625 corridor as of now. Someone is paying attention, that we remain here forever. Was this dump just another dump from someone whou couldn't postpone it any further or have there been some news?

They better do that if they intend to move the market. But the Bulls aren't exactly powerful, either. The trains have gotten weaker and weaker. We'll need to wait for fall, I guess?

Can anyone make a case that the price will not be at least twice this level within 90 days after COIN lists?
If not, let's assume it is so. If there is a 50% chance of listing by November 8th, and the best estimator of the February 8th price without COIN is the current price, then the expected gain by 8 Feb is 50%.
That's roughly 100% annually. It is a very very low estimate of the expectation of holding. It may underestimate holding time however.
If you know anyone who can do without some non-zero amount of cash today, with the expectation of a 50% gain by 8 Feb, you should inform them, or you are no friend.
In other words, I'm done accumulating BTC for a while. (Still working on XMR though.)

Ha, I understand what you're saying, but these things are mere conjectures. They're no facts, yet. Bitcoin remains a high-risk investment vehicle. We don't even know if the Winklevosses will be successful. A failure of their enterprise may push BTC back quite a bit because institutional money will get cautious. I'd really like to know some educates guesses on when COIN really launches!
