During the downtrend, it was a constant upward pressure with large dumps.

Now we have constant downward pressure with... Occasional medium buys and sells.

Signify a reversal? Or a failed reversal? Hm.

I'm still in total awe that stamp is not dumping. Money must have been sent there after bearwhale.

I like the continuous to the moon talk even if it is total bullshit because that creates new money.

How very hypocritical of you.

No, not really. Read my last post and you'll see why it's for their own good.

I read all your posts. I still don't see it.

I like the continuous to the moon talk even if it is total bullshit because that creates new money.
It does but, when done with poor timing in a correction, it also creates a lot of negativity because people start to lose value pretty quickly. That can just as quickly start a cycle of negativity that actually inhibits new money.

It might be negative in the short run but think about the long run. Lots of positive here defeats the negative in the press. Some poor fool buys at the wrong time and there is a drop. Ok, he's pissed at first but won't sell because he doesn't want to lose any money. While he's waiting for an increase he starts to read and learn. Now he likes the idea of Bitcoin because he understands it. Eventually it goes up and he's a happy convert to the cult. All of the honesty here is fucking up Bitcoin. lol

How does the end of that post do anything but prove my point?

It's hypocritical to want people to buy into the idea of Bitcoin because it benefits me? Isn't that what businesses are trying to do with advertising?

blitz is bullish now?

does anyone have a picture of a frozen over hell?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=178336.msg9093063#msg9093063

I do sometimes turn bullish, yes (and not always do I post about it). I'm just a little more cautious than the average guy here, and I like to buy when you guys bleed. No offense. Cheesy
Yeah, except when you were making fun of the bears calling the 200s-300s when we were at 500-450...

Find me one single such quote please? Seriously, you must be confusing me with someone.

Pls deliver.

Regardless of what I believe, telling "total bullshit because that creates new money" is wrong, if you care about that sort of thing.
Sustaining Bitcoin's price by lying to investors is fraud, no matter how you couch that.

Fraud? It's not fraud to tell someone you believe the value of Bitcoin is going to double or triple or whatever unless you attach a timeframe and profit from it personally. Being generally positive is just believing in Bitcoin.

But that's not what we're talking about.  We're talking about this:

I like the continuous to the moon talk even if it is total bullshit because that creates new money.

With a forum moniker like QustionAuthority, you should probably come up with something a bit better than
...Isn't that what businesses are trying to do with advertising?

Advertising is regulated.  The claims made in ads can't be "total bullshit."

It's hypocritical because the bear trolls want people to sell out of bitcoin because they think it benefits them, which is precisely the thing you are complaining about.

That's right. It's advertizing. You mean you people don't realize you are running a continuous Bitcoin advertisement? You know negative ads sell just like positive ones. That just sells the opposite outcome. People love Andreas because he sells a constant positive image of Bitcoin. People here are just as likely to sell a negative one. They may be telling what they honestly believe about the short term but it still can be a self fulling prophesy.

...delays possible

EDIT: @ posters mentioning bulls and train pics, this is the first train pic since the weekend Tongue

If you added it up, I bet there would be more posts of bears talking about train/moon pics, then there are bulls posts of actual train/moon pics.

With a name like "QuestionAuthority," I sorta assumed that you tried for a moral highground.  Justifications along the lines of "if it's OK for selling used cars, it's fine for selling Bitcoin" are absurd.  Even from purely pragmatic standpoint.  When there's so much ideology and politics in the mix, lying backfires.

Just like your bluff 500BTC bet backfired--you were called on it, and had to do a lulzy backpeddle.  Not a win.

*I do not love Andreas or any shills, for that matter.  We're not selling timeshares.  We're trying to change the world.

Well I'm glad someone gets it. lol Not really.

I would agree that leaders in the field discussing a trend honestly is good. Tell people what's really going on and back it up with thoughtful analysis. That's not what's really going on here. This is a running advertisement of bullshit views that may or may not be based on any reality at all but visitors are still viewing it and believing it. Click this link any hour of the day or night: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=unread What you will see is this thread and Altcoin threads which tells me two things. Altcoins are more popular than I'd like to believe and this thread is an important funnel of information on Bitcoin.

Bitcoin depends on the moral integrity of authorities like Andreas and the Bitcoin foundation, and the common sense of the miner(pool)s, if I understood correctly. But I do trust in the open BIP concept. It's somehow like Linux. And whom would You trust Your money- Micro$oft or Torvalds and the open source community. I admit, deep question.

Do you really think Andreas is just a shill?  I haven't read everything he's written about bitcoin, but my past impression of him was that he was earnestly trying to educate people about Bitcoin technology.  I never got the impression that he was trying to mislead anyone.

Otherwise, I agree wholeheartedly with the thesis of your posts above.
