Buybacks happen every quarter, but there are pretty small compared to the trading volume/sell pressure.

Congratulations on your WAVES investment there, you seem to have hit it well, but unfortunately the community was treating WAVES as it were some type of joke in the beginning stages that I simply passed on it.  I regret not having bought some WAVES tokens.

But as far as ICN goes, I believe that 2018 could be a great year for ICN token appreciation.  ICONOMI is the best project in the crypto world so far, with a working product and when they are fully launched and marketing finally starts that's where the party could start for ICN.  Who knows?

Utility of ICN is just a plus here as a lot of coins that have absolutely no utility are doing really good. So only thing that worries me is not being on more popular exchanges (Bittrex, Polo, Bitfinex) as Kraken is really buggy so it only leaves Binance, but buybacks are probably the reason why exchanges won't list ICN. If ICN gets more volume somehow the price will skyrocket IMHO.

You really should read more about this project befor talk nonsense about this project! Every dolar, satoshi... made on this platform is goint for buyback! They do not take anythink for themselves. the team has 17 milions of ICN and about 50% of the asset that they collect in the ICO (this asset is now worth more than 100 milions. much more! other 50% is in Pinta and it is worth 115 milions at the moment.

I wasn't implying that the utility wouldn't be useful. I am also looking forward to this. I was just trying to say that even without the utility Iconomi has a great product which will attract a lot of people in the future and the buyback will be more significant. This fact alone should make some interest in buying ICN. Utility will just bring more interest.

Bottom line I would rather hold ICN (great team that delivered awesome product in 1 year and will be delivering in the future) even without the utility than some shitcoin that works on a pump/dump principle. But then again I am a long term holder and can see why short term holders would be unhappy.

I'm personally not worried about the price (most altcoins are going through this because Bitcoin is surging like mad lately) and I am confident that in 3 years ICN will be in the top. Probably even sooner like 2018

What do you think they are volunteering ? They have a pretty Fing large payroll and are in the works of adding 100 more.

Now my head to head with Waves.. Both purchased the same day last spring.
1000 ICN now worth 1460
1000 Waves now worth 13,800 not including tokens earned from leasing.

Really wish I would have just kept the bitcoin at this point because bitcoin rose 10x in value

ICN is heading back to 1$ because there is no use for the token and they can't figure one out. If they had it would have been announced months ago. Instead they keep putting it off.. just like the release of the platform.

Now that futures are being traded on BTC , crypto index funds are already here but not in the mainstream.

The final goal of the platform is to allow anybody to open up a fund regardless of the contributed seed amount. But for now, it's $100k.
