I believe what you are looking for is this:

X-Originating-IP: [74.64.120.98]

Which seems to be a residential IP in Manhattan.

Adds credibility to the idea that this is indeed from Bitfloor:

Well, anyway... it appears to be orderly and not out of control.

It'll be interesting to see what they post here.  One assumes they will.

The situation is legit. Also, bitfloor has similar info on their site now. "Trading will be suspended at 6 PM EST on 2013.04.17. We ask that all users finish any trades they wish to complete and cancel any open trades."

Can anyone enlighten me on this whole fiasco?   Was this Roman guy a scammer or just a completely incompetent businessman?

So far I don't think any money has been lost.

I was able to trade all my USD into BTC, then withdraw all my BTC.

Son of *****,

I liked bitfloor! I had an issue with them and localtill and cash deposit taking 12hours the first time i used them but support from bitfloor has been fast and i was just starting to feel comfortable.. I dunno why but i had this odd feeling the other night after reading a few goxxed articles and i was telling myself .. lets take a break from the charts... so i moved my quick trade coins to an online wallet and pulled out a few racks via direct deposit.

Then cheap coins started coming out of the wood works... fek! The charts are like a goddam TV show i cant stop watching and moving my fiat back to the banks was a means of cooling myslef off.. lolz

So after my 3-4 day break last night i was telling myself .. ok back to the grind!! Ive missed to many cheap coins..

Only to find this s***..   fek!  I didnt get this email by the way..

Is there any place we can leave a dozen coins and a few racks and feel comfortable sleeping? Giving up 4% to localtill to move fiat to the floor sucks! Banks wires take half a week ..

So ya cant do sh** on a whim..

I had just recently got verified by gox but man .. i dunno how i feel about them right now.. lolz..
may give them a shot but the local census around here isnt too good..

Is there anywhere that is issue free!! I hope bitfloor works this out.. i had planned on making it home. Maybe i am foolish and need to rethink quick access to cash and coins on the exchanges!

I wish em luck and hope they work this out.. i wonder why all bitfloor people didnt get an email.. i didnt get one.. maybe its because i cleared out a few days ago like i said.! I hope!!!!

(it should have been a system wide email to everybody!  What happens if you were on vacation or just missed the email)

Do the same on Mtgox.

If nobody can withdraw usd anymore, they'll buy btc resulting in the wackiest, most powerful rally ever. Better take serious riding lessons for that.

It'll be interesting to see what they post here.  One assumes they will.

I've had this happen with an American business account. Risk management sends you a letter saying they are shutting down the account in 7 days. There's no disputing it, there's no appeal, it's going to be closed. Risk Management simply decides they don't like something about your transaction history and that's that. I'm not sure it's related to Bitcoins, they're probably leaving very little money in that account (probably a good idea) and just keeping enough to send out ACH withdrawals to traders. But when it's 99% of the money coming in is going right back out and it starts adding up to being millions in/out unless you have a huge chunk of money sitting there to cover any issues, banks are not going to be terribly comfortable.

If it was related to Bitcoin (under a BS excuse of money laundering) the account would be frozen. It doesn't sound like it's frozen, it sounds like the bank is saying we don't want your business GTFO.

No problem withdrawing BTC. USD ACH is stuck in limbo. Half came through, half did not. Both transfers were initiated a day ago about 5 minutes apart.

This is too bad =/ I was hoping bitfloor would continue to grow, they seemed to be doing pretty well and was definitely one of the smoother exchanges to trade on IMO.

Obviously this is disregarding the unfortunate coin loss. I will say that Roman had been making loss repayments and all signs pointed towards him continuing to do so. Hopefully they can get everything in order...

I agree. Disappointing. I really liked trading there.
