I have all my coins in on an online trading site (paxful) (low volume)

I plan on making a large investment very soon, and want to safely store all of my coins
I.E I basically want to drop a couple thousand, and keep them in the safest possible way, where I can revisit them in 5-10 years or so and reap the benefits, or cry about the loss.

What is the best way to do this, and what's the best way of ensuring a backup?

How do you currently store your coins

thanks in advance for any inputs

On that case where you are going to keep your coin to a secured wallet for safety, probably an offline storage would be a good choice for you because online wallets is just supposed to be good only at transactions and for some services .

Keeping bitcoin is easy.
The best way to save bitcoin online is using Xapo.
Xapo is the most secure bitcoin wallet out there.
For offline bitcoin saving use Ledger Nano wallet for backup and everything.

I hold my coin on the blockchain wallet application, although i have go through some adverse critiques about this.  I would significantly choose to maintain a paper wallet but i do not come to feel particularly self-confident about that approach at the moment.  My purpose is to eventually keep a paper wallet although, the far more i learn from forums like this about how to operate a paper wallet, the quicker i can kind of go above to a paper wallet.

In my opinion, I keep my bitcoin through online money trading. I have used my bitcoin as an investment in poloniex and it is growing bigger and faster. It multiplies in it. And it is recommended and it is legal and not a scam.

Keeping pennies in the online form is also not a bad idea, Kepping it depends on how big the money is, the more money you have, the more you should increase the security level by using this type of purse. And as mentioned, Vault Physics is the best type, also vulnerable, like theft, lost it.

I am myself not in favor of online wallets. There are maximum chances of getting hacked when you are dealing with online wallets. It is never recommended to keep all your coins in one wallet if it is online. The best way of storing your coins is to download some good offline wallet.

trezor is the best right now, we need to entrust bitcoin to hardwallet because the computer system sometimes still has gaps that can be penetrated, we must remain vigilant and keep upgrading the existing system in the computer, another good wallet choice I think remains blockchain, many web wallets that have private keys sometimes make me more nervous to store them.

I store my bitcoins in a wallet, it is coins.ph and there I store up my earned bitcoins. When I don't need to cash out money, I just keep my bitcoins there. It is safe and reliable to use, and also, easy to understand how to use it. For now, I haven't verified my account so I can't cash out my bitcoins.
Same with me. I just keep Bitcoin in my wallet with a purpose that Bitcoin will bring to me more income in the future. Sometimes I change Bitcoin into cash and send it to bank. However, I recommend you guys should keep your Bitcoin in your wallet on the internet.

For example, I use an online wallet on the service apibtc.com, since there is no commission for personal use, instantaneous transactions and problems have never occurred to me. And for the API, commission only 0.5%

I don't recommend storing a lot of bitcoin in a third party app because of the possibility of them running away with it if they can. The chances of that are low but still it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't agree with you keeping your funds in a wallet connected in the internet making it a hot wallet.
