I can't see it making it outside of the internet world but I may be wrong maybe media will start broadcasting about BitCoin on TV I can't be for sure about it but something like that could arise.
It Is very much popular on internet and I think it will be in access of every one and commonly teen agers when internet progresses. And if you are thinking of now then I think it is gaining popularity on internet day by day and person to person and it is very popular in developed countries on internet. Still, I doubt that bitcoin is only being used by tech background people and not by ordinary other people. But over time each and every people will join bitcoin system and hence it could be used by every citizen without any hassles.

Depends on what you mean by "regular citizens". If you mean the denizens of the internet, then yes, as the majority of the things you can purchase with Bitcoin tend to be located on the interwebs. With that being said, this is exactly why "regular citizens", which I assume is the general populace, have little incentive to adopt btc. They would use it as a debit card, and most people just wouldn't be bothered to make the switch, ESP if they knew about the particular security difficulties bitcoin brings to the table.

No. you must be an extraordinary person to use bitcoin, not just ordinary. It's in the code guys. # include <iostream> # include <algorithm> # include <bitcoin_use> int main() { if extraordinary = {1}; int count = (1) bitcoin_use printf "Yes, you can use bitcoin"; int count = (0) bitcoin_use printf "No, you can't use bitcoin"; }

Yes bitcoin can be used by ordinary or regular citizens because it is user friendly and there is almost no difference between using bitcoin and the fiat or physical money because all you gotta do is spend it like you used to do. In the first timers who will use bitcoin and most of them are from ordinary citizens we can expect some a bit of awkwardness because they will experience the other and improve way of using money but somehow they will adopt how to use it easily than they expect.

The founder of bitcoin Mr. Nakamoto Satoshi He created it to all citizens in the entire planet, As long as you understand and the individuals are decided to use it they are very much welcome into bitcoin. Whether you are a degree holder or not, as long as you are interested bitcoin is open only but not all people in the whole world are interested in bitcoin and we nothing about it.

What kind of question is this . You are asking can any ordinary person use a currency? Like really Who denies a person from using a currency and it is like an achievement for the currency if it is used by many. Obviously any ordinary citizen can use bitcoin to make transactions. We are also ordinary citizen even you and you are able to use so this should give you the answer to what you asked.

Bitcoin is usually used by people interested in technology. I mean, persons with a certain technical knowledge are interested in bitcoin.
My observations are that way. I think Bitcoin needs to reach larger quantities. Can use bitcoin in people who are not interested in technology? Can people use the bitcoin in the profession group like tradesmen, teachers, housewives, firemen, butchers? Are we going to see the days that these people use bitcoin?
first there needs to be some place they can "use" bitcoin at. if we want to talk about usage. then if there is a place to use bitcoin just the way there is a place to use credit card, even if "regular citizens" don't understand the technology behind bitcoin they can use it with their phone Apps, with their third party services that make it easier and so on. Yes it can increase the usage rate. People do not need to know about the technical infrastructure. Simple ease of use that people need. For example, anyone can shop with credit card without knowing their technical infrastructure. It is practical and easy to shop with credit card. The use rate will increase if bitcoin is a develop application in this way. Yes it's very possible, now we have harware wallet and it almost same with credit card. we just need to wait until bitcoin spread and ppl will use this wallet to store their coin

Of course those people can use Bitcoin. I think the main reason that those people don't use the Bitcoin is because they don't know about it. And that they don't know how to use it. But if the know how to everyone can use the Bitcoin.

I never believe that there is people here not interested in technology, I think person might not be interested in certain technology but definitely they are interested in the technology that has something to do with their line of interest. I am not interested in agrarian technology but I am interested on application that can use in order to enhance trading. See my point here? And I believe ordinary people can use Bitcoin. I am an ordinary citizen but I can use Bitcoin according to my needs. So I think as long as there is an internet and gadget to access the internet people can use Bitcoin.

Good you said your observations but those people you said are mostly using it are only few who use for technical issues. To use bitcoin does not mean you have to be a geek when there is access to the internet and some basic training then the job is 90% done every other knowledge will flow even me and quite a number of people here dont understand as simple as white papers presented along side any project with as personally, I find it difficult to understand. And those tradesmen and other profession you make reference to, it will be surprising that the phones they use have the capacity to do every basic thing needed all they need is the guidance.

Ordinary citizens fall under our category as well because we are all ordinary who are living in this world guided by the law and common things like having a job to survive is what we do. Also, as citizen, we have different learning capabilities due to some have limited education, so I think only a little portion of the ordinary citizens can adopt or use bitcoin now and in the future to come.

yes why not there is nothing to code in bitcoin everything happens good or bad just with click on buttons. so there's nothing to learn to master then awesome currency. even a kid can use it so why not the elder people.
The matter is not that it is hard to use or not or it is it is easy to understand. I think the main barrier of the bitcoin to access to the ordinary and common man is that lack of education and illiteracy and also the access to internet is not everywhere in the world so, I think it will happen in the future but it will takes a lot of time to be happen until these issues don’t get resolved.

I think you're both right. Part of the problem is not wanting to understand bitcoin (it has something to do with computers; it's nerdy; or some other -strange- thinking) But surely there are quite a few people without proper internet connection - and then it's difficult to do anything with bitcoin.

Bitcoins has positioned the peer-to-peer currency as an alternative to conventional currencies like dollars, euros, and yen. Bitcoin boosters point to two major advantages Bitcoins have over dollars: price stability and lower transaction costs. As we'll see, neither of these advantages is compelling for ordinary consumers.
