There are two devs (plus myself) working on making a stable Windows build, can't tell eta but rest assured we are working hard on it.
It will be compatible with old wallets, unless there is reason not to.

Good to know pallas. Also when it's done and we have a flawless wallet and a block explorer, it would probably be a good idea to start promoting the coin through social networks like Twitter and Facebook. Having slack channel would be nice too. It would be a good way to get people's recognition and interest. Especially during this altcoin boom.

Also, being listed on a few more exchanges like Bittrex, Cryptopia or Yobit, or even try to get back to Poloniex would also be of benefit to this project.

The altcoin boom that is happening right now is just a great time for XCN to present itself Grin

P.S. Devs, I assume this twitter account is not active any more: https://twitter.com/CryptoniteCoin
P.P.S. Any plans for the future development? Smiley

Might be one here...

https://github.com/1gh/cpuminer-cryptonite

I've considered adding it to cpuminer-opt but with Suprnova continuously threatening to drop it
I didn't see much point. If this project picks up steam I make take another look but I don't see
any easy optimization opportunities.

As soon as the wallet is ready, I'll do my best to first re-activate btc38, then get relisted on poloniex.
I personally don't like cryptopia because they do a lot of fake orders to boost volume, and who knows what else.
Besides, 3 exchanges would be enough, maybe bittrex would make sense though.

Maybe bitfreak knows about the twitter account.
I hope the community can help us with promotion :-)

About future development, I've got a list of basic improvements to implement (after the wallet is finally fixed and stable).
Furthermore, if you look thru the site and the wiki, there are some ideas for improvements by the original dev, that have not been implemented yet (for example trie pruning).

While there is development work happening on the wallet, the backup feature does not work correctly, you
get notification it has saved but the file is not created.

XCN has dug up 310 million, BTC38 stock is about 250 million, which means that the current stock of personal wallet and BTER only about 60 million, but the total amount of transactions this time BTER more than one hundred million, and every day there are a large number of XCN was sold, far more than BTC38 in the stock, this not to doubt it? Is not the repair of the wallet split the BTC38 that part of the personal wallet, and then used to sell bter above, this is a scam. Please official reply!

one hundred million? it says "9898079" which is less than 10M.
and again, the wallet is already fixed, you can compile it using the "trie_fix" branch.
on linux it's trivial.
you can even make your own windows build, but beware, it's a lot more difficult than it may seem.

Daily volume on bter is 6-10 mil xcn
In 15 days more than 100 mil xcn was sold.
Every day milions of xcn get dumped on bter.
I also wonder where that big amount of coins comes from.

I suspect that the BTER on XCN was attacked by 51%. Some people control the power of the whole network, a large number of sales of XCN in exchange for BTC BTER!

You guys have a lot of imagination.
There is no way, currently, to send xcn to btc38 nor to withdraw BTC.
What you see is just trading, the same coins over and over.

Ever heard about self-buy? It's when manipulators buy or sell their own coins to themselves to create volume. That's what exactly happening on BTER right now.

In past month xcn price druped from 50 sat to 5 sat every day price goes down
You mean selfbuy people buy xcn in high prices and sell it to themselve in lower prices to makes volumes?
What if other people like me buy their coin? I bought more then 2 million in 8 sat
And you can see more then 3 million xcn sell wall lower then 10 sat
So you can actually buy a large amount of xcn for lesser then 10 sat price
So seller not selfbuy people's of they who'd never bought in high price and sell it to me and put their coin on sell wall in lower prices.

I hope dev fix btc38 problems and explorer soonest possible and finish the rumors  Wink
