vertcoin just tweeted something about them getting listed on coinbase, while i think this most likely not going to happen, the fact that they tweeted it could mean they are talking to coinbase/gdax for a possible listing, what do you guys think about this?

Would be great if it's true. I will keep hodling my coins either way.

its not true. Some kids post speculations about this on reddit a few times in the past months/weeks/days and this idiot converted the dreams of some VTC holders to fake news.

Can someone enlighten me about what is going on with vert at the moment?

Have had some ever since the first bull run crashed hard and been waiting for something like this for 2 years.

Definately not complaining, but need to figure out how much to cash now and how much to hold for longer term.

Active nodes vertcoin now: 359
-> Litecoin has three times more nodes than Vertcoin (but Vertcoin nodes are on the rise)

Litecoin price: 57 USD
Vertcoin price: 5 USD
-> Litecoin is 11 times more expensive than Vertcoin

Hi, I haven't used my VTC wallet for a while and it's out of date.  I downloaded the latest wallet to Sync but not syncing, followed a suggestion to download the bootstrap file. Now it is syncing from local bootstrap, but has got stuck at December 13th 2014, and is not moving.  Any ideas? Also there are zero active connections to the vertcoin network.  Running Vertcoin Core version v0.11.1.0-9c5018b (64-bit).

As an alternative - How would I import the VTC into electrum?  Is it as simple as dumping the private keys from the console - then importing into electrum (even though wallet hasn't synced)?

wait couple hours if still "no block source"
re-run as administrator until "synchronizing with network"
it may take a while.
VTC blockchain is only 2gb I run with 0 connection to network and updates just fine.

Otherwise scroll a page back and you'd see list of nodes add those manually

There is no tweet about coinbase listing. Stop spreading fake news. They are talking to different exchanges though.

i download wallet, full sync, after that sent some amount, and my walllet balance should now be 0, but that transaction dont get any confirmations,

on blockchain i see ballance as it was before coin was sent, but on wallet on my PC i get 0 ballance, i try "rescan" option but still the same, any other command?

yeah looks like the network is just weak sauce. How would this coin be worth 200m ?  



Impossible to sync from the start too.

I would dump all of this and switch to something that works like LTC or doge
