"nist5 (less energy)" - not sure about that, my rig wants to fly away It would be nice if there was few nodes listed in OP, not a problem when there is only few pages, later going through 20+ just to get nodes is PITA. And helps with thread full of nodes questions. Note: you can always grab addnodes from Cryptopia's connections button: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/CoinInfo/

Hi guys
Is there someone able to explain to me the advantages of Nist5 hashing algorithm? Sorry if the question seems stupid but actually I don't find a lot of infos while searching on google
read here ! I hope this will give you the answer to your question!! Introduction This new mining algorithm NIST5 is superior by providing the lowest temperatures and electrical power consumption available. These two elements have been some of the most crucial avenues for innovation in terms of mining algorithms because they affect the community the most. Nothing at all can get much more irritating than running a blazing scorching miner in the summertime that significantly raises electrical power expenses. This explanation is primarily why the scrypt mining algorithm has been left behind since ASIC miners are capable to ruin these outdated coins. Talkcoin designed the NIST5 hashing algorithm to provide a better combination of power efficiency and security than existing algorithms. NIST5 chains the 5 final round candidates for the National Institute of Science and Technology's SHA-3 hash competition, which were all selected for their performance & security (BLAKE - Grøstl - JH - Keccak - Skein). NIST5 excludes algorithms eliminated from the final round for security and performance concerns such as CubeHash, Luffa, simd, Shavite-3, ECHO as found in X11 and Hamsi and Fugue added in X13. For more information on the NIST competition see here: http://nvlpubs.nist.gov/nistpubs/ir/2012/NIST.IR.7896.pdfRead more: http://www.jackobian.com/threads/what-is-nist5-hashing-algorithm.65461/#ixzz4pDSZMTuk

Somebody should update the website and create something more from the perspecive of the user and of course to gain more interest of investors and buyers. The message is incomplete and there is no time based roadmap, no infographics, no interactive media. The experience can be much better, for instance the font that has been used below 'about us' is not readable very well. For single words it's fine but not longer texts. It looks quite unprofessional. Please, have a look at websites of other cryptocurrency. For example: Signatum - https://signatum.io/Who want to grow needs to reshape, enhance and redevelop. I agree with this statement a re-vamped website works wonders when comes to getting the coin out there for people to see and investors to invest in. XLR got my attention with the name to begin with so I believe that's fine and actually a very good choice honestly. So I don't believe a rebrand is necessary but a re-vamped website, wallets, and website will go a long way in the long run. Community goals wouldn't be a bad idea either so while the dev is working on or paying for updates we could be working to market the coin harder and really get its name out there. Just my two sats on the situation lol.

Thank you for the payment dev! I hope the campaigns are helping at bringing in new people to Solaris and also more miners to help support the coin. Also if people could tweet and share their experience with XLR it will also help spread the word around. Keep up the great work dev!

Looks interesting dev! Still intending on a masternode upgrade? Perhaps consider a hybrid to keep the PoW part. It's a unique idea mining on the NIST5 algo for low temps. Fun play on the sun symbolism of Solaris.

The wallet provides the instantaneous POW difficulty. WhatToMine shows the average POW difficulty (24-hr, 3-day, 7-day) but it has been broken and hasn't updated for a couple of days. Is there another site or some other way to see the average POW difficulty?

my pool https://cryptohub.online/pools/ has a log of difficulity, checking it once per hour. If you use its calculator it will show you possible profit based on average difficulity for last 24 hours. I will think to add special page to show average difficulities

@Islapdonkey you need to create solariscoin.conf yourself ( notepad) . Make sure you show known file extensions so you don't accidently name it solariscoin.conf.txt Close wallet first , then edit your solariscoin.conf ( the config file for the Solariscoin wallet is located at C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\solariscoin ) rpcallowip=127.0.0.1 rpcport=18921 rpcuser=USER rpcpassword=PASSWD daemon=1 server=1 listen=1 mining=1 addnode=185.183.99.171 addnode=185.183.99.19 http://screenshot.sh/mGY6Q8GQmiVReCan't find this file ;/ Should i download Wallet again? Or what? I send some coins to mine (which is not synchronized)
