What do you guys think of Filecoin coming into this space?  SIA in trouble?

didn't heard that before and i guess it wont interfere with SC its just sleeping for a while and waiting for bitcoin to make some steady movement

So, when this discussion was opened Siacoin was about to moon and it was between 550 e 650 sats.

Now it sits at 150.

You keep saying and saying it's a good long term investment but what I see is:

-investors mistrust

-no development

-no usage by anybody of the sia network except few terabytes

-price falling and falling month after month

Mark my words, before 2017 ends Sia will go below 100 sats.

Let's say it how it is: you all bought a shitton of Siacoins and you saw your investment crash. The same way OP did you're trying to inspire trust and get people to buy. But you'll never, ever, see 300 Satoshis again(unless some enormous rumour that will cause the usual pump and dump).

Supply is very big so I don´t now if it will be a good coin to be pumped. If any of those Pump groups decide to do it. I see a lot of dumpers around:)

Because when Asic mining start mine this coin, the supply will higher than demand on the market => Makes the price of Siacoin cannot recover or increases.

I think people forget that Siacoin is burned frequently too.

They made a mistake in estimating fees for Poloniex. I suppose it is a Poloniex bug but that is not the case. I plan to add more dip but I feel hesitant due to Bitcoin price hike now. I will re-evaluate after reading your post.

You should buy them if it dips more, I still hold a couple of this coin and believe one day it will soon recover and skyrockets in the future or hopefully in a few months from now. But I'm aiming for longer term for this coin though, glad was able to buy them when its price was still very low.

I agree with your opinion why developers do not care about the price of coins
you can see some existing ICOs they do not keep the price of coins
it seems like they as developers just want to take our money and throw some dirt and then leave

I notice that a lot of people here keep saying that the devs don't care about the price of Sia. The quote that tg CEO made was taken out of context. He just meant that the team is just trying to build the best product possible product that they can and not worry so much about pumping the price of Sia.

The inflation of the coin is clearly laid out in the white paper. Only so many will be produced every hour etc no matter who or what is mining it. It is just that with the new miners arriving months from now it will be easier for the common man to do so, but they are not out yet.

People shouldn't be worrying about the price. Fundamentals haven't changed. Sia keeps updating their Github regularly and they're on track to keep hitting targets on their very ambitious roadmap.

the project is interesting as it's rival amazon and google cloud. it has very good potential specially on Nov 2017 with the file sharing feature.
