I don't know, maybe because:
A) Ver is not going to make that deal
B) That hypothetical deal would be after the hardfork that will not happen
C) You want to minimize your counterparty risk
D) All of the above.

I'll wait until we are sure Ver is a coward who doesn't follow his word.

So its not BECAUSE but despite of btc-u Smiley

https://www.bitfinex.com/trading/bcubtc

He just needs to sign  ownership , of 40.0000 btc that's about $35.000.000

Ver wont take the bet but if he does I'll throw all my btu at his btc any day of the week. But like i said. ver wont because he knows he would just be giving away all his money.

I invested in ETH and made money, WAVES, made money, JEWELS made money, NXT made money, BTC made a lot of money!

Roger Ver wont even buy BTUCoin.com, shows how much he believes in this coin/plans.

He understands domains very well owning bitcoin.com so not owning BTUcoins.com is a red flag he doesn't believe in it, jmo.

LOL he owns plenty, he understands their importance and owning the exact term in dot com. Should BTU coins take off he would be foolish not to own them. Just like any other thing this is a business, you need to corner markets, target users, protect brands it has become common sense.

Btw you got here to this place you know on the internet on a POS domain.

Why would anyone want a domain LMAO....says the guy on the internet.

Boy...I love me some Internet. Calling someone in the hypothetical event of a coin split, that has put his life into promoting your Bitcoin a fucking pussy for not putting up $60MILs with a signed message at your convenience is the best. I don't particularly think that RV comes of as amiable, but dude has boots on the ground most days laying down what he believes to be right for debatably the most important technological breakthrough of our lifetime. Maybe he's being censored, maybe he's not. But the accusations probably aren't completely false and newcomers need to have the FULL DECENTRALIZED STORY. Maybe core has the better developers, who knows? Is segwit tougher to code than BU? It's all fucking nonsense because not making the correct decision for Bitcoin is scary shit. That's why I tend to side with the least riskier core implementation, but BU doesn't sound terrible.

Throwing around $130M exchange offers doesn't solve bitcoins problems. In fact it amplifies its divisiveness.

The price is crashing due the chinese hashrate whale being bribed to cause this shitstorm by supporting buggy software against 80%+ of users and common sense in general. Anyone that isn't a retard or a troll has realized this fact already.

but BU doesn't sound terrible.

BU wants to ellect "President" and "Secretary" of bitcoin, keeps crashing to the point devs have to release closed source patches to hide their incompetence, is based upon EC which is a flawed concept that would mean there would be more than 21 million coins eventually, centralized hashrate controlled by chinese undergrad nerd following PBOC orders under a software that gives miners unilateral control over protocol values.. yep not terrible at all.

renigged
I had to LOL at this.

But someone tell me true, is this a good time to buy bitcoin or what?  Is this one of those drama-infested pseudo-issues that bitcoin finds itself mired in from time to time?  I don't understand the issue and frankly I don't care.  Is this selloff justified?  Are people just scared, or is there a real issue here that threatens bitcoin?  And I'm wondering if I ought to buy some at this price.

so its all bribery?  There's no real problem with Bitcoin?  Everything is actually fine and we should just follow Greg Maxwell to victory?

well i gotta admit some has provably thrown down the gauntlet with $40 Mil, if Ver really believed in BU he would have no problem takeing the next step to follow through or meet the bluff which he has not done.

This he not done yet and so establishes beyond a shadow of doubt he does not back BU as much as he does BTC [Core]

Roger Ver is an opporunist, he will support whatever chain that gives him advantage. He also could be supporting the blockchain split so that he could double his coins.
