Hello!

My motherboard does not see ssd with nvoc installed, while with the usb flash I can become on ssd ubuntu,
is there any bash script that would update ubuntu to nvoc fork?

Thank you!

You have to untar (unzip) the image you downloaded.
Depends on the program you use, you might need to unzip it twice (From *.tar.gz to *.tar, then run it again to unzip the *.tar to get *.img). Some programs can directly unzip the tar.gz in one step, some need two steps.
Once you unzipped the downloaded file and got the *.img you can use hddrawcopy to burn the img to your SSD.

Once the image is burned to your SSD, plug it to your PC, remove any other HDD, SSD or USB from your PC, enter BIOS, disable UEFI, enable legacy/CSM and save and restart. It should boot into nvoc.

There is no script to update/turn Ubuntu into nvoc. There's more than just few scripts... nvidia drivers, cuda, miners, removed default packages, installed extra packages, custom OS tweaks... lots of manual tweaks, not easy to do with script.

Hi

I am using main BioStar H81S2, how can I boot nvOC from USB Stick. I tried to using it, but it not show from boot menu.

Disable UEFI, enable CSM or Legacy boot devices. Try different USB ports. If you still having trouble join the Discord chat, it's easier to troubleshoot through live chat (I think the link is in the third post on page 1 of this thread)

Big thank you

Does anyone know how I can dual mine Ethereum with verge(xvg). I am currently running nvoc 19.2

There is a new dual mining introduced for 19-2.1 (Not released yet), you can try it

in 1bash add this after all the other coins :

Code:
###################################################
# Claymore_Dual Mining                            #
# Set COIN="Claymore_Dual"                        #
###################################################

###You can use variables like this:
#DUAL_ECOIN="ETH"
#DUAL_EPOOL="$ETH_POOL"
#DUAL_EPORT="$ETH_PORT"
#DUAL_EWAL="$ETH_ADDRESS"
#DUAL_EPSW="$MINER_PWD"
#DUAL_EWORKER="$ETH_WORKER"

DUAL_ECOIN="MAIN COIN"                      #Main Coin, Ethereum or any Ethash Coin
DUAL_EPOOL="MAIN COIN POOL ADDREES"         #Main Coin pool address, no need to add stratum+tcp://
DUAL_EPORT="MAIN COIN POOL PORT"            #Main Coin Port Number
DUAL_EWAL="MAIN COIN WALLET ADDRESS"        #Main Coin Wallet address or pool username
DUAL_EPSW="$MINER_PWD"                      #Main Coin worker password on pool
DUAL_EWORKER="$WORKER"                      #Main Coin Worker Name
DUAL_EWAL_FORMAT="."                        #Set your main pool wallet address format ".", "/", "-"

DUAL_DCOIN="DUAL COIN"                      #select second coin to mine in dual mode. Possible options are "dcr", "sc", "lbc", "pasc", "blake2s", "keccak". Default value is "dcr".
DUAL_DPOOL="DUAL COIN POOL ADDRESS"         #2nd coin pool address
DUAL_DPORT="DUAL COIN POOL PORT"             #2nd coin pool address
DUAL_DWAL="DUAL COIN WALLET ADDRESS"        #2nd coin wallet address or worker name, it depends on pool.
DUAL_DPSW="$MINER_PWD"                      #Password for 2nd coin .
DUAL_DWORKER="$WORKER"                      #Worker name for 2nd coin
DUAL_DWAL_FORMAT="."                        #Set your dual pool wallet address format ".", "/", "-"

DCRI="40"                                   #2nd coin intensity.
ALL_POOLS="1"                               #Specify "-allpools 1" if miner does not want to mine on specified pool (because it cannot mine devfee on that pool), but you agree to use some default pools for devfee mining.

DUAL_ADDITIONAL_ARGUMENTS=""                #add "-allcoins 1" if you mine Ethereum forks or other Ethash coins

in 0miner add :

Code:
if [[ $COIN == CLAYMORE_DUAL ]]
then
  HCD=/home/m1/eth/claymore/$CLAYMORE_VERSION/ethdcrminer64
  E_ADDR="$DUAL_EWAL$DUAL_EWAL_FORMAT$DUAL_EWORKER"

fi

in 1bash set :

Code:

Keep calm and carry on mining ...

P.S: Let me know how it works.

Hi, guys

I' using NVOC successfully for months but currently there is only one card left in the rig. I have removed the other cards and the miner didn't start. This card is with extender. Have tried to switch the PCIe slot but nothing.
The card is GTX1080 and is visible with nvidia-smi but the miner is silent.

Can you help me please?

I am trying to mine Ravencoin, but I can't get it to work. This is what I added.

0miner:
Code:
  if [ $COIN == "RVN" ]
  then
    HCD='/home/m1/MSFTccminer/ccminer'
    ADDR="$RVN_ADDRESS.$RVN_WORKER"
    screen -dmSL miner $HCD -a x16r -o stratum+tcp://$RVN_POOL:$RVN_PORT -u $ADDR -p $MINER_PWD -i $RVN_INTENSITY
  fi

1bash:
Code:

Did you connect your GPU to the x16 (long PCIe slot) closest to the CPU? Also make sure the integrated GPU is disabled in the bios.

What do you mean by "miner is silent"?
Does it start but gives error and quits, or it wont start at all?

I am trying to mine Ravencoin, but I can't get it to work. This is what I added.

0miner:
Code:
  if [ $COIN == "RVN" ]
  then
    HCD='/home/m1/MSFTccminer/ccminer'
    ADDR="$RVN_ADDRESS.$RVN_WORKER"
    screen -dmSL miner $HCD -a x16r -o stratum+tcp://$RVN_POOL:$RVN_PORT -u $ADDR -p $MINER_PWD -i $RVN_INTENSITY
  fi

1bash:
Code:
RVN_WORKER="workername"
RVN_ADDRESS="Accountname"
RVN_POOL="rvn.suprnova.cc"
RVN_PORT="6667"
RVN_INTENSITY="21"

There has been lots of discussions about RVN in discord channel
Take a look

I don't know. How to check if there are errors or how to watch what is happening?

Something is messed totally i'm getting "ssh: connect to host 192.168.0.102 port 22: No route to host"

Yesterday I have edited telegram file and have duplicated and edited some settings. I have duplicated damNmad's settings, set custom name and removed some info and break lines. Can that be the reason that OS is not loading? I have received test message several times and everything was ok. I have set the interval 1440min but today nothing. That was the message if it matters somehow:

Worker: 102
Current Hashrate:
System Boot Time: 2018-03-31 01:18:10
System Up Time: up 2 days, 3 minutes
Miner Uptime:
GPU Count: 1
GPU_UTILIZATIONS: 3
TEMPS: 45
POWERDRAW: 20.38 W
FAN SPEEDS: 0 %

Yes that was the problem at that time. I have removed my "customizations" and it starts normally and got connection. But miner still not working. Now is that:

Worker: 102
 Current Hashrate:
 Boot Time: 2018-04-03 05:46:57
 System Up Time: up 7 minutes
 Miner Uptime:
 Currently Mining: "ZEC"
 Reboot Required: No
 GPU Count: 1
 GPU Utilization:
 100 100
 Temp, Fan, Power:
 GPU 1, Target temp:  60, Current:  56, Diff:  4, Fan:  50, Power:  25 <br>

Yes I did. That was the slot before to remove the other card. I have tried both on x16 and x1 but nothing miner didn't work. I'm not sure about the BIOS settings but will connect some monitor, check and reply. Before everything was ok when the other cards was there.
