Will bitcoin be used to support terrorists?

Fiat and normal bank wire are being used by terrorist from long time ago and they have now started using bitcoin for transactions however bitcoin still only covers very little part of transactions in those organization.

common bitcoin is just a kind of new money processing system, we more likely treat it like real money with some imaginary values which is nowadays being judged by the different types of bitcoin and altcoin exchanges, the point is the money can be used in anyway no matter good or bad. even if terrorists uses it for their benefits we can not close the whole bitcoin system to stop them, if we stop bitcoin they will simply switch to dollars or something else but we can not stop money and by the way yes bitcoin is widely being used at the dark side too mainly for illegal activities

Everyone can hold his own bitcoin even criminals can obtain his own bitcoin the question here would be if the police can do something about it? which is very hard to do really! transaction over bitcoin will always be anonymous regarding this that is why I think that is the best question regarding some transaction of identify for illegal business, I think bitcoin is not the reason behind, something like this, the real culprit would be the person itself he can surely done anything with his bitcoin.

You cannot stop it, no matter how much you beg and plead. In my opinion it is better if it was used by criminals and terrorists. Disruption of the banking system is what we want as Bitcoiners right?

That really doesn't matter the BTC used by whom. Money (every currency) also used by terrorist That doesn't decrease the value of any currency. So dear! No worry about the devaluation of bitcoin.

Yes bitcoin doesn't support terrorist but it is giving us freedom and everyone has the right to do so. Just like the real money, those people that are doing crimes are using it for buying their things so that they can keep on committing crimes and can live their lives with pleasure. The only relation of bitcoins to terrorists is that they can use it for buying their super weapons.

Bitcoin is nowhere to be blamed here. They are just using the feature of bitcoin which is really a great way to transact their bitcoin and use it wherever they want, whenever they want. And the fact that they are using bitcoin, is a good thing. But I just like the fact they use bitcoin, but do not like the fact how they use it. As you said, it will really help the bitcoin price to increase. Win win.

The question is very unfair, we know that US dollars and everything that has worth and value can be used for buying weapons. But we are all free to use whatever we want with our bitcoins. This is decentralized and freedom can be applied here it is why we don't care if those people are willing to use their btc for supporting terrorists, criminals and rebels. What do you mean the "question is unfair"? No one was trying to say Bitcoin is bad because terrorists use it. But it does show that Bitcoin is the perfect medium for value transfer that can be used by terrorists to move their money through the internet very easily. Not only that drug dealers, prostitution, illegal gambling and ransomware also love to Bitcoin.

That's what I was thinking when I saw this question. The people who have tried transacting some big amounts through exchanges or other wallets. Without being converted to fiat it's near to impossible. We are not talking about small amounts here and as far as I know terrorist groups are not that patient who wait 24 hours to get a confirmation

I believe it's being used ever since. In the deep web I see some contract killers for hire and you pay them bitcoins to kill me or other person, for example. I've heard some secret ISIS sites in the deep web too and anonymous is on high alert about these terrorist sites.  I'm sure they are using bitcoin to fund their cause.

Is this already happening? Most likely.
You should see BTC as a normal currency, like € or $.
Criminal organizations get paid in all currencies, cash or virtual, it doesn't matter.
Did they kill € and $? No. Will that ever happen? No, that's simply stupid. So why would that happen with btc?

I know what you mean with that, I know that you felt like asking this question because popular beliefs see Bitcoin as an illegal and nonexistent currency, but I honestly think that's never going to happen. They can't kill something big like btc.

Even if we make some posters on billboards telling people to not use bitcoin in illegal activities or to support terrorism but that will do nothing. Everything will depend on the choice and the decision of a person. And so if that person will send bitcoin to the terrorists with an intention of rebelling against the states then we have no control over that. Bitcoin as a currency will not be free from such activity but let us not worry about that since the government is doing its job to stop all kinds of terrorism.
