It doesn't mean that because we are using bitcoin it would already give us the protection to hide illegal activities online, that will only happen temporarily as the government has all the resources and if they will make an effort against illegal transactions, they could trace them.
If it's untraceable, they would have ban this system because it's a big threat to them, but it's not happening and in fact we are growing now.

I'm surprised with amount of ignorance in this topic, do you really think that governments are here stop terror and drugs? They are the ones who sell drugs and weapons, and they wish much bigger control of everything. Countries like US, Russia, Israel are making weapons and they sell weapons to so called terrorists, so they make profit out of it.

All the things you are worry about are already happening for long time. Indeed the bad news have negative impact on Bitcoin's acceptance but nevertheless the price of it rising with time because there more and more people who can use their head to figure out that every currency is used by criminals and by terrorists and that Bitcoin doesn't stand out in this regard.

This pretty much follows the same sort of narrative that the MainStream Media tries to peg onto Bitcoin, which is that Bitcoin is only used by shady people on the internet to buy drugs and such. We all know this just isn't true in the least and that that's a small portion of all the Bitcoin usage which we see today.

Bitcoin has nothing to do with terrorists activities. And if it used by them, money laundering and stuff, I think bitcoin is making a progress and bitcoin is used even for a terrorist. Staoshi Nakamoto aims a currency that can be used by many people everywhere and anywhere in the internet. Saying that they use it, means that they like bitcoin because of its transaction features.

While there are few places where you can use and invest your bitcoins outsides digital, i really doubt terrorists will risk to have their funds frozen from banks just because they made a big value transfer or multiple transfers into their accounts. Ease of transaction as well the anonymity is the requirement for a terrorist or a unit. The same is possible with bitcoin, so we cannot completely deny that bitcoin is not used for terrorist activities. As one of the user stated everything has good and bad. The usage for good or bad depends upon the user who make use of it.

yes they can do it without a doubt. bitcoin is open for all those who wants it , invested on it and want to earn thru it. we cannot dictate other person to how and when they may need to spend it. decision is in their hands.
