I also have Windows and for some reasons my torcoin wallet disappears every time after shutting down the computer. To make it work I have to extract all the files again from zip folder and only then it's working again. But I have never had any alerts from my windows defender.

That's right I think its better to buy tor coin now because if you se  the price is chepa so if you want more profit in the next few months its better if you buy more tor coin now. Because after tor coin list to the bittrex and poloniex for sure the price of tor coin will be increase. i think the signature campaign and the exclusive campaign will really also helpful in making the project more and more successful, so these campaign should be continue for some more time.

The campaign is just promoting a fake coin. You guys are getting paid in a worthless currency.

I have plenty of proof. I've posted my proof many times. TorCoin does not connect to Tor. All TorCoin traffic goes over the regular internet. TorCoin clients and nodes connect to a IRC channel that anyone can access. Inside the IRC channel you can see every client and their IP address. I can personally track everyone that is using TorCoin. If I can do it, anyone can.

This is not a wild guess. I have hard technical proof that TorCoin has lied about their Crypto Currency.

I'm a certified Network Engineer with a little over 10 years experience. Most recently I worked for a very large ISP in their core engineering department. I'm also kind of a nerd, so in my free time I like to investigate how things work, especially if they are network related.
 
I have experience with Tor and anonymous distributions like Tails. My primary interest at this point is to find out how secure TorCoin really is. If you are familiar with anonymity, then you should be aware that leaking network data on the clear net (the regular internet) is a big concern. Leaking any data related to you or the app you're trying to conceal will give you away.
 
To test, I configured a Windows 10 Virtual Machine and setup Wireshark. After installing and launching TorCoin, I performed a series of packet captures. For the sake of being brief, I discovered that most of the claims made by TorCoin are false. TorCoin does NOT integrate with The Tor Network. It does NOT keep your usage private. 
 
Here are just a couple things that I found!

* Clear public NON-Tor DNS traffic asking for http://seed.torcoincoin.com
* Clear public IRC traffic to irc.lfnet.org and irc.smutfairy.com
* Does NOT connect to The Tor Network!
* Does NOT keep your use of the coin anonymous!
* Nodes do NOT help The Tor Network.

The TorCoin OP says you are untraceable. I found a central location where I can track all the connected nodes.

TorCoin communicates with other nodes over the regular internet. Your IP address can be seen by everyone! I was able to do a reverse lookup on a node and found a user on Comcast. His claims are misleading at best. I personally feel the creator of this coin has done this intentionally. It is my educated opinion that you avoid this cryptocurrency.

Thank you very much for your suggestion but it's not working for me for some reasons. Torcoin Wallet isn't showing in the Quarantined items so I can't restore it.

Now I'm thinking on removing my Torcoin wallet completely and downloading a new one form http://torcoin.org/.

Thank you very much for your suggestion but it's not working for me for some reasons. Torcoin Wallet isn't showing in the Quarantined items so I can't restore it.

Make sure to make a backup of your 'wallet.dat' file before you do that. I know you're probably not a noob at this, but just in case you didn't know to do so.

That is the right decision because within days we cannot able to predict the price of TOR. Once it is listed in many exchanges then the price of TOR will automatically increase. At the same time, they need to concentrate on marketing their project because if you don't market it properly you will loose the price.

Several coins have passed through what TorCoin is going through and its going to be a matter of time for us to know whether this will live up to expectation or the prediction of people like you will come through. For those earning and dumping, that is not an excuse for the tank in price because its their job and it does not matter how they wanted to utilize it and even currently the TorCoin exclusive campaign has been discontinued with reduction in the number of people in the campaign as well which I am sure part of the reason to to avoid unnecessary dumping. I equally bought more in addition to what I earned.

I thought so too, and invested a relatively large sum into this coin because of what it claims to do, and the long term potential I saw in it.

But, I have since lost faith in the project manager, who goes by thetorcoin on here.  It seems he cannot even be bothered to address the valid concerns expressed on here by existing Torcoin investors, including myself, let alone correct those issues.  This, despite responding in the past to those who appeared to have no interest in this coin but to spread FUD and tear it down, who deserved to be given the cold shoulder.

I am not selling my Torcoin yet, but I certainly am not buying any more at this time.  If the market were not so thin, I probably would sell, even though at a loss.
