What is this TESTNET ? I think testing of nodes. Can any expert explain it in details for knowledge purpose.
The Testnet will be the first publically available test of XTRABYTES Proof of Signature (POSIGN) tech, essentially yes this will be the testing of the STATIC Node network. The idea of a Testnet is to push the network above, and beyond its capabilities, looking for flaws and ways to bring it to its knees. Examples being spamming transactions, exploiting security flaws etc. Because the Testnet does not utilize the existing chain, instead a fork of; there is no risk to users XTRABYTES holdings, thus no reason for people to hold back throwing their worst at the network/system. Hope this helped and thanks for your interest in XTRABYTES. Yes got it and very well explained, Thanks for your reply. So if this TESTNET goes well (without any flaws) we can assume that STATICS are ready to go online.

Yes it would mean that PoSign is up and running and statics should be good to go up and start generating income.

I think of being an early XBY adopter the same way you do...like buying Google or Apple way back. No one knows the future. I just invest in novel ideas and hope for the best.

Yeah - and this type of development takes time. People get anxious after a few days in crypto... Gotta HODL

Definite Hodl
The good thing is once it gets to .05 usd XBY will list in the top 100 on Coinmarketcap which will help a lot with recognition.

On another note, my OSX wallet doesn't sync/no connections. Do I need to add nodes? Wait for testnet? Don't know what's up. Just have a lot of coins on Ctopia that I would like to move out.
Also, a web wallet would be great, not sure if it's possible though.

Hi, I am investigating on buying an L1 node or L2 node and have some questions:
1. All L1 nodes seem to taken as of aug 20,2017 . For a prospective investor, would it do to buy 500K XBY and hold until an opportunity arises to acquire one? I think it was said there will be raffles or something like that in the future to determine who can buy some of the few off-limit nodes; also it is said nodes may be sold on the market later but I assume this would be at likely larger prices.
2. Are L2 nodes still available? Should investors buy 250K and wait until notice from the developers?
3. The XBY wallet has a "registry STATIC node registration". I assume that you will be notified that registration is not possible even if you have the 500K XBY.
Thank you!

Hi Optimiza, The plan is to auction the level 1 nodes that will become available again. It could be for exactly the is amount, but people might also bid a lot higher (the additional will go to the Dev fund) Level 2 nodes are indeed not available yet, main focus is he test net right now. You should join! Price is 250k indeed

Do you have the latest version of the wallet? Here is the latest release as of yesterday : https://github.com/borzalom/XtraBYtes/releases/download/pre-v1.2.0.2/xtrabytes-Qt-OSX-v1202.dmgIf you do have the latest version of the OSX wallet and are receiving no active connections, maybe go back to the previous release? As far as I know, the only thing added to the latest release was code for the testnet. I'm sure someone from the team will be on this thread soon enough to give further help you if you need it. I believe at some point, a web wallet will be implemented. But not as of yet.

Hey I can successfully sync on both 1200 and 1202 from the Xtrabytes GitHub for OSX. Currently have 7 active connections, have had up to 16 in the last few hours.

Running OSX wallet without any issues at the moment for those wondering if there are issues. TestNet has been doing really well so far.
PS. If you have any competency with programming / coding definitely enter the testnet and help us rough it out.
