Researched into XBY, liked the tech. Bought a few thousand coins to add to my portfolio. Unfortunately, I bought it on Yobit like an idiot. Anyway it's stuck there.
It wasn't a ton of money so I'm not freaking out or anything, but I do want to say that it doesn't instill confidence. Yes, I know the issue is on Yobits end, but it doesn't bode well for XBY to be listed on a crap exchange.
Discussion should be about recent developments not about coins locked up on exchange. Anyway, as I said, it doesn't instill confidence.

100% agree. Maybe CMC can be contacted to remove the yobit listing, so people don't land there. |

100% agree. Maybe CMC can be contacted to remove the yobit listing, so people don't land there. Yobit will be delisted when it gets on the major exchanges, I'm sure. Cryptopia is reliable though. |

So I pulled my investment out of yobit and it's now sitting as BTC waiting for cryptopias price to dip. Figured I'd post up. Well worth losing a few dollars to never have to deal with yobit again.

Personally, I believe Yobit will eventually update and release. I believe it's been around 5 days, excepting the short window over the weekend. I also read that many other altcoins have this issue on Yobit. Regardless, I pulled out. No exchange should ever be able to hold on to my money for any extended period of time ever. The fees we pay keep their lights on. It was an expensive lesson learned cheap and I will never use yobit again. Anyway I hope to see some good things from XBY |

The wallet has been in maintenance on Yobit for over a month, there was a very short window at the weekend for a few hours where the wallet was out of maintenance and people were able to move XBY out of Yobit however they quickly put it back into maintenance. This rules out any fault of the XBY team on Yobit as the wallet does work it's just Yobit is holding everyone's XBY hostage for some unknown reason. XBY's team are doing everything possible to get this resolved but Yobit are being very difficult for some reason.
As others have said it is recommended to avoid Yobit until the issue is resolved.

technically they are not holding them... you can transfer them to btc, move them out of yobit and rebuy xby elsewhere.
did the same last week ago after I've realized that yobit suxx

I'm saying like idk how many ppl got to get scamed or burn by those criminals, honestly at this point I feel any one using YoShit is the Fool ( especially if they speak and read english)ppl must of of said it millions all over the internet not just the XBY thread smh |

Exactly Don't they are not worth no headache or money lose there is always a better exchange and they will keep on coming |

yea i mean most of my holdings are secure but I bought a large sum around 40 sat on there because it was the only place that had it your right i could sell and re buy worst case. I assume eventually it will get worked out for now fingers crossed

They are building a whole new way of handling transactions called POS (proof of signature). Imho this can be the next ETH/NEO. Why ?
Let me elaborate a bit on this.
Xtrabytes platform is very scalable, secure and will allow any code to run on top of it.
Much like smart contracts on Eth and NEO, Xtrabytes will do the same, but with a twist.
As far as i understand it's code language agnostic, you will be able to run perl, c++, C#, and so on.
Decentralized applications can just plugin to the XtraBytes blockchain and will no longer need ICO's.
The applications running on it will simply die or live according to their usage and a voting process.
The value of 1 XBY is extremely low for the moment and can easilly go X100 or even more imho.
