Tables are now 6 max, starting stack is 1500 chips and blindslevels are 8 minutes.
Nice.

Maybe they had something to do and forgot to unregister yet ended up getting in the money because it was such a long tournament and no one had patience? I don't think that's abuse, that's just fate. Abuse is collusion, which is very easy over the internet and impossible to prevent.
People were registered up to 12 tournaments ahead and not playing. There were 2 active players. Maybe not meant as abuse, but it was kinda unfair Wink

By the way I think you're wasting Bitcoins on the hourly freeroll. 1 BTC per day at least, and you're getting nothing from it. Anyone who sits at the cash tables is going to get bored because no one will play with them. I had someone hit and run for .01 btc. What a joke.
We actually had some cash games going on today. People are starting to catch on. We consider the bitcoins for this promotion pure as a marketing investment.

The success of your site has majority to do with your client I think. Go look at successful free poker sites, like geaxgame.com -- notice how their site runs quick. People play poker for fun. That website makes money selling FAKE CHIPS and people buy them just because they're stupid. I know they do because there's no other way they can have as many chips as they have, because if they were actually that good at poker, they would be playing for real money.
Our advantage is the client, but it is also a disadvantage. Bitcoiners seem to not trust an .exe installer. That is why we will launch a html5 client on the site. This client will have limited features compared to the client, but offers the same game and runs quickly. Within a month we will use the html5 version only for mobile/tablets and we will have a complete flash client done.

A properly set up Bitcoin poker site should be able to beat cash sites and lead online poker. Right now is prime time to take advantage because US online poker is illegal. Someone seriously needs to jump and this and do it right. In my opinion, Seals has failed. It's a disgrace. Don't be like them.
I agree that a well ran site can take over online poker, and we will be moving into channels where no poker has been offered before. We need about a month preparation for this move, but it will be epic. In a way Seals is a succes as they are the market leader in bitcoin poker, but I believe they don't have a proper strategy or the right software to grow further. We will absolutely not become another Seals, we aim to become the 2nd online pokerroom within the next 2 to 3 months and we have the strategy ready to do this.

Thanks for your feedback!

Just to offer you all some games while we are building and expanding our services, we announce the 1000 Gtd Hourly Freeroll. This translates to 0.1 BTC prize pool per tournament.

So 1000 chips = 0.1 BTC?

There are lots of places where 1000 chips = 1 BTC, and it would help reduce confusion if you stuck to that.

I guess these days 1 mBTC is over 10 US cents, so perhaps that's why you've opted to use smaller chips.

I think personally I'd stick with 1000 chips per BTC and allow people to play with subdivisions of chips on the table if 10 cents is too big.

remove sitting outs. It's really annoying.
we cant Sad

Aah.  So this isn't your own client?  That's a shame.  I was hoping you'd written it from scratch, and could change it however you liked.  Seals has a similar problem, running a proprietary client they don't have control over.

The 2nd online pokerroom?  Sounds like an expensive goal!

I dread to think how much PokerStars and Full Tilt spend on TV ads.

It's offtopic, but in what way is Seals "a disgrace"?  It seems very decent to me (other than the flash client, but they're working on alternatives to that).

We chose to make 1 btc 10,000 chips, to avoid losing the micro stakes when bitcoin rises, which was a problem at SwC. When bitcoin was $200+ you needed at least $40 to sit down at a table with a full stack.

Aah.  So this isn't your own client?  That's a shame.  I was hoping you'd written it from scratch, and could change it however you liked.  Seals has a similar problem, running a proprietary client they don't have control over.
We have chosen to buy already established software, as this guarantees our players that the software is clean and for poker purposes only. Many players fear attempts to steal wallets or something like that, which you can see in the first pages of this thread. We do have the issue fixed now.

Thanks for your feedback Smiley

They probably have a combo package as Full Tilt is bought by Stars  Wink
They share 2nd place with the ipoker network now.

And yes, it is an expensive goal, but there are better ways to attract players than expensive tv commercials.

won free roll, can't cash out

When you go to cashier, enter the number of satoshi chips you wish to cash out and then you will end up on a page where you can enter your bitcoin address to which you want to cash out. If it doesn't work, then please let us know where you are stuck.

We don't have a minimum withdraw amount. The site is up and has not been down. I dont understand why you don't see the page sometimes.

Although I appreciate it that you try to help the people, I have to warn them though that we can't guarantee that the installer on the location you provide is genuine and the same file as we offer on our website.

In my opinion, Seals has failed. It's a disgrace. Don't be like them.

It's offtopic, but in what way is Seals "a disgrace"?  It seems very decent to me (other than the flash client, but they're working on alternatives to that).

In order of significance:
1) The client. It sucks.
2) Doesn't listen to suggestions.
3) Team pro is a joke.
4) Trolls and more trolls. Seems seals can't get enough mindless trolls.

Is SatoshiPoker better at this point? No.. This BETA is actually silly as well. I don't know what the point of it is. The owner should know what is takes to create a successful poker site and RUN after it, not limp. Same with poker play really, limpers get called. In the case of Seals (huge limper), it has been infested with trolls who have seemed to must have hijacked Freemoneys brain and caused him to forget the point, or maybe he never knew the point. You know when you run a poker site, you should be in charge of it. He's like that teacher who makes friends with the cool kids and let's them decide everything, rather than doing what's right. Lazy and incompetent.

Oh yea, the very thing that reminded me to answer your question: CONNECTION PROBLEMS. I can't even login right now.

BitcoinFlush: Today I downloaded the WinPoker.com client (they actually accept Bitcoin as well, but do not allow US players.) If you can offer something of that caliber, I believe you'll convert many to Bitcoin poker.

I have a bitcoin address that anyone can send BTC too, so I'm going to post it
on my sig because I think someone is going to randomly give me their BTC:

In order of significance:

1) The client sucks.  I agree.  They're working on alternatives, but they seem to be stuck on using the mavens backend.

2) "Doesn't listen to suggestions" and "makes friends with the cool kids and let's them decide everything" seem contradictory.  Is he listening or isn't he?

3) I don't really care about site pros.  It's a marketing scheme I guess?  I don't care where the pros play so long as they're not at my table taking my money!

4) The chat on seals is and always has been pretty offensive.  They seem to have a no-censorship policy which is admirable but tends to bring out the worst in a bunch of what I presume are kids.  I don't know which of the two evils I prefer; I don't like censorship but I also don't like when the chatbox is full of people trying to be "shocking" constantly.

As for being offline, it's probably more of the DDoS they've been struggling with I would guess.

We will launch our HTML5 client next week, which allows mac users and mobile phones to play as well. A full blown Flash based client will be launched in about a month.
