Blackarrow - How's the June 10th batch going?

We're expecting the boards from the factory maybe today but guaranteed tomorrow. DHL is not working due to Dragon Boat Festival in China therefore we'll ship on 13th.

We manufacture Bitcoin ASICs and Bitcoin mining equipment.

China has so many cool national holidays. In america our holidays are selfish and people just get drunk with friends without caring about what the holiday even is.

I hope I'm getting others like knc and bitfury. But these lancelots should be able to reprogram. Someone will have to spend a lot of time doing it though.

no they wont be. I dont think anyone can mine scrypt with sparatan 6.. you need really fast memory

Not yet done, but that does not mean not possible. Programming is based on logic sequences, etc. If they can be programmed, they can be soft-coded into an FPGA or hard-coded into an ASIC. The real question is whether it's practical, based on litecoin valuations and profit potential.

Edit: it occurred to me after posting that the "not possible" may have referred to modifying bitcoin ASICs and FPGA devices to mine scrypt. In that case, you are correct. New hardware has to be designed; current hardware cannot be modified for scrypt.

Short answer: no
Long answer: probably they can mine as fast as a normal CPU

Longest answer: we need an FPGA with a really fast bus connection with some memory and computing power (i.e. Pci Express), nothing that can be achieved with any Lancelot Serial to USB emulation at only 115k bps.

K hope someone finds a way to solder these on a new board with memory

Even at half gpu speed will keep these useful after asic

What was the final word on V42 firmware? Did anyone see reasonable performance from it considering the increased hardware errors?

Am I right in thinking it would be relatively straight forward to repurpose one of these FPGAs to mine say Terracoin or any alt which is pretty much a cut and paste job?

I do not expect that you read the whole 43 pages of this thread.....but can you honestly read at least the last page before you ask ?

Wasn't that covering just scrypt? As far as I'm aware TRC isn't based on scrypt?

When I said cut and paste I meant alts based on Bitcoin, not the scrypt alts... If I wanted to mine those I'd just chuck together a GPU rig.
