SebastianJu: After recent BkkCoins posts I am quite confident in his skills and I believe that he'll design a great product. Burnin on the other side never wrote anything that might even slightly confirm that he's able to deliver. BkkCoins won't provide assembly though. Do you have any plan for organizing assembly of BkkCoins design?

When you check my signature i created a thread with the miner-developers i know. And for bkkcoins(klondike) there is a note what is needed for creating the miner. I believe i can do this so that i will create my own miner. Till now i have no plan to let a company do this. The avalon reference design isnt fully opened yet too. But i stay in contact with someone that is asking companies about this to find out the prices for assembling with them.

Its not fully opened yet, so it cant be said how much it would cost to let a company create such miner. The downside of avalons design is that they use a fpga which is expensive. Because of that its probably the case that klondike boards will be cheaper at the end.

I am very curious why there are some many FPGA chips - 6 for 10 ASICS. I thought that there will be at least one 8bit processor that maintain the communication between ASICS and USB controller and that is all... but now it looks complicated.

So that is why AVALON wrote "the FPGA source will be open".

Is your friend burin able to program those FPGA, Sebastian?

I'm not that much into soldering, especially SMT soldering, so I won't even try to assemble this by myself. I'd be happy to pay some premium for someone willing to organize the assembly, that is receive my chips, acquire all other parts required, send them to assembly and at the end send me a plug-n-play ready miner.

Will it be possible to change chips ownership in this group buy, if it'll turn out later that there's no one willing to offer such service and I find someone who'd like take over my chips?

First, burnin isnt my friend, he only is located near me. I even dont know him yet because a visit didnt happen till now unfortunately. I hope i get a time when a parttaker in this groupbuy, that lives in hamburg too, can visit burnin.

But burnin wont use a fpga in his design as far as i know.

Lets see if something can be worked out with companies. Im not checking this out but im in contact with someone that does.

The ownership can be changed not directly but of course you can sell the chips to someone and when its time to ship them out you give me the address where your buyer wants the chips to.

That's good. I asked because I read some other groupbuys weren't allowing changing addresses. So now I need to decide if I really want to go into mining before you close your first batch, which I see is coming soon Smiley.

The first batch is ordered. There should be some chips left in first batch, i have to calculate the table first, but the second batch comes instantly after the first... Smiley

Code:
    Order: #10261
    Date: May 11, 2013
    Total: ฿782.10
    Payment method: Bitcoin Payment

Code:
#10261 May 11, 2013 On-hold ฿782.10 for 1 item

It changed now to
Code:
#10261 May 11, 2013 Processing ฿782.10 for 1 item

For the full end-list of orders of the first batch please check the first post in thread.
