Still don't have a friend who's VAT registered who could lend a hand? Free BTC for him I'm sure. You don't have to re-invoice, just accept the package in case there is a lot of VAT (he'll get it back anyway).
Cheers.

It must be  a very good friend !
Because it is a transfer of ownership
If the invoice is in the name, the chips also.

Lost coins only make everyone else's coins worth slightly more. Think of it as a donation to everyone.
it has lots of buttery taste..

Could you please confirm the expected levies/VAT at import? I'd rather not find afterwards I have another 25% to add on top.

Cheers.

19%.

However, Avalon will likely put the notice in about costs, and since we do not know what they will declare... well. Cheesy

Thx.

If that friend then gets a tax audit and they ask where all those chips are, and he has no outgoing invoices, he's fucked, with a tax fine :/

In Germany, it is NOT an IF. It is a WHEN. Usually, around 5-10 of being self employed, the nice man from the Finanzamt visits you and annoys you about everything that has ever happend in your company.

Yeah, so I dont think any entrepreneur is going to help there Wink

One thing I wonder, if they want to add VAT, based on what? 600BTC? The only fiat number to go on would be raw material cost of a chip, right?

Wouldn't the incoming invoice be in BTC? 100 Eur = 780 Chinese Yaun.. Must have been a typo on the invoice.

It wouldnt matter if a friend jumps in because he would need to let you guys pay the fat then because he would need to send you bills with that fee on top. Nothing to be saved.
Its easier to keep this all private. Most are private buyers and the endusers.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I didn't mean the friend who had received the chips to never invoice them, I meant Sebastianju (he feels it's too much hassle for a onetime job). If it's a problem, and if nobody local wants to do it, I have no problem lending a hand. Chips go in, chips go out all the time. Ppl who need to pay VAT do it, the exempt ones don't. Never had an issue with customs, never had an issue with VAT.

& thanks to the nice Finanzeamt man now, Germans don't respect the Ustg §6 article for intra-EU sales anymore and it's becoming more of a pain to trade will small sellers all the time.

Depends on the VAT rate. This is not a finished product. I bet the VAT would be less...

Sorry, no.

The tax at customs is calculated with the bill that is attached to the shipping. Avalon in the past put a USD-Bill to their miners. So it shouldnt be a problem for the customs to calculate.
You can easily make a 10K "computer" pass for a 1K one. Ppl "know" computers. Chips are another matter. If the person that deals with your file doesn't really know what they're worth, they'll check. Then it will depend whether you fall within the statistical prices for the declared item. They might also decide those are high value chips and apply THEIR statistical value. They might also hold the package a month while figuring out who hey need to contact for a proof of payment to apply the proper VAT amount.

The joys of international trade... Wink

Hey it's VAT, they'll get it back right?

The vat will be the 19%. The lowered one is only for very necessery things for living. Bread and some more. Electronics isnt part of this.

Sorry, no.

I meant its easier to handle it this way. I mean very few people will buy the chips for their company, most will buy them for themselfes, as private persons. That means the vat has to be paid anyway.

Hey it's VAT, they'll get it back right?

Only companies could get it back.

I wouldnt have done the groupbuy when i would have to create a company, with all bureauctratic costs and hassles included, then having to create bills, make accounting for every sale, writing bills for every chip, include vat and so on and having to make an additional tax declaration. And all only for a couple of guys that have a business and could get the vat back. Doesnt sound like a very good reason for all this trouble. In this case i wouldnt have started the GB. I mean i could understand it for an expensive normal product, a car for example... but miner chips? Where you plan on getting 100% of the cost for the miner back in 2 weeks to 2 months? The trouble for some buyers that have a company and want to save a couple days of mining income?

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Im getting alarms for new payments (a soundfile gets played on my notebook), have an excelsheet that creates me the header and statustext in first mail automatically, in english and german and the tables are created automatically in bbcode too... so i only need to copy it... in case one is wondering how i can be so fast with a new table sometimes... Wink

It were 8 days when you include the half day after the first batch was full. First batch took 10 days.
