So phil   you are getting :

550 watts 2000 sols for 3x 1080ti
500 watts 1700 sols for 2x 1080ti and 1 1070 itx

Please correct me if I am wrong.

you are close.  yeah  I need the fan  to make it work , but those 3 cards all all running in the 60-65c area.

At the moment  I think it is more value to get the 3x 1080 ti builds done.

They do more zec and ti price is a little less crushed then the 1070 price.

On July 3rd I get 498 to spend on ebucks  and I have a 25 dollar gift card.

that comes to 523 to spend. I will be getting a 1080ti.

I sold the katana's
I am going to sell  the 1070 itx cards

msi 1070 aero itx
https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GTX-1070-ITX-AERO/dp/B06X1GZB5F/ref=sr_1_1?

gigabyte 1070 itx

https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-GeForce-GDDR5-Graphics-GV-N1070IXOC-8GD/dp/B01JD2OSX0/ref=sr_1_1?

msi is 550 at amazon
gigabyte is 579 at amazon

at philipma1957  they are  440 free shipping to usa

Are you switching back to skein Phil? NH ZEC sure is down a bit. What's everyone mining now?

let me see my one rig on skein

this is a 3 x 1070 rig

http://zpool.ca/?address=16yLHLoeyuCLPMXkVpC3gyrRYvwRGwjKJr

it earned

0.040  for a week  it was 100 bucks  for 7 days  which is 14.28 usd for 3x 1070's
0.024  for this week  so it dropped to about 60 bucks  for 7 days is  8.58 usd for 3 x 1070's

so I will keep an eye on it.  but zec and skein both dropped just a bit.

@Phill any specific reasons you prefer blower type cards?

i think price is always the key  on the 1080 ti's  I got my best deals on fe cards and msi aero cards both blower style.

the 1070's the itxs are not blower style  but they were working well in my 2 x 1080 ti 1x 1070 builds.

once I went with 3x 1080 ti's  and the one fan above them I can see that blower style work better then the gigabyte aorus  cards.

this build is not possible without blower style cards

1 bgear fan

This is on a biostar z170, but  I will do one on a gigabyte z270.
I use i5 6400t cpus used on ebay

this one is 129  but when ebay has a 10% ebuck deal this is 117

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-i5-6400T-Quad-Core-2-20GHz-1MB-6MB-Socket-1151-Skylake-S-CPU-SR2L1-/152607562406?

I have found 4b stick of ram  works well  .  and I like quark psu's

850 watts plat 130 but 117  when you get a 10% ebuck deal
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rosewill-Quark-Series-850W-80-PLUS-Platinum-Full-Modular-Power-Supply-/172183274675?

evga 850 watt p2 is also good
http://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-SuperNOVA-850-P2-220-P2-0850-X1-80-PLATINUM-850W-Fully-Modular-EVGA-ECO-Mo-/301677534337?

evga 750 watt p2 is also good

http://www.ebay.com/itm/EVGA-SuperNOVA-750-P2-Power-Supply-/302359060694?

for the life of me  i don't understand why you want six card rigs  unless you do 60 cards or more.

lastly  nvoc  is god like  next to perfect os  for running this.

this stick works well

https://www.amazon.com/Lexar-JumpDrive-32GB-Flash-Drive/dp/B00T61JM4E/ref=sr_1_1?

so

2100 for 3x 1080ti's --------------  210 off  on a ebay ebuck sale
   16 for bgears fan -----------------    1
  114 for motherboard  -------------  11
  129 for cpu-------------------------  13
  129 for psu-------------------------  13
   30 for  4gb ram -------------------   3
   13 for usb stick -------------------   1
    0 for nvoc

2531 net for a 2000 sol zec rig using 550 watts  if ebay has a 10% promo  2531 - 253 =  2278

Here's my build based on one of Phil's 3 card builds. I added 1 riser for a 4 card rig. Added risers to a shelf to mount the motherboard and riser. Also made a custom card holder and fan mount from extra shelf parts. Pulling 2450 Sol/s at 755w at the wall. Very stable rig.

3 x MSI Aero 1080 ti
1 x MSI Aero 1070 Mini
1 x EVGA G3 850
1 X 4GB Ram
1 x 32 GB Lexar USB running Fullzero's nvOC

good I am glad I inspired you to do it.

I get 6,7,8,9,10,11,12,and even 13 card beast..

but these 3,4 card builds  using a evga 850 watt psu or a rosewill quark 850 watt psu  are dead solid builds.

I have a different  mobo  to test a gigabyte ga-b250-hd3

I did a win 10 build and it was a disaster   some weird eth card issue/  I did a win 7 and the het card worked I updated it to win 10 and got around the direct win 10 build eth card fail  this time I will  do a nvoc build  using a higher end lexar usb stick

Graphics chip makers Nvidia Corp. (NVDA) and Advanced Micro Devices Inc.  (AMD) are both working on graphics processing units (GPU) specifically for processing cryptocurrency transactions, and RBC Capital bet on Nvidia to make the superior chip in their note Friday.

Every time a transaction occurs in one of the cryptocurrency markets a GPU speeds up the calculations needed to verify payments. Nvidia and AMD currently make GPUs for everything from video games to self-driving vehicles but don't have a chip specifically for cryptocurrency, yet, RBC said, The cryptocurrency chip will be much faster than using a typical gaming GPU.

so i have been mining for a while on nicehash to their wallet. I wanna try out some other places. Where do you mine with your 1080 ti + 1070 rig? I see zpool being mentioned here a few times. How are they compared to nicehash?

I would highly recommend something like MiningPoolHub for the time being over Zpool... the last 3-4 days has really cost me a lot of earnings while trying to use zpool.. Its been crashing a lot with random periods with algo's not connecting for hours and when you run a multi-algo miner like i do.. if the algo the pool is stating is the most profitable is unable to be connected to.. your miner literally sits there for minutes to hours trying to connect to it over and over tell it either connects or another algo is decided as more profitable... i switched over to MPH for the past 24hrs and left 1 rig on Zpool to see the difference in profits... both are basically within 5% of one another on hashrates..

I would never recommend any coin or algo swapping pool that uses PPLNS payout like MiningPoolHub, I do like the pool but when I mine there I just mine one algo and one coin otherwise you shoot yourself in the foot.

Just goes to show that RBC Capital is clueless.
The announced NVidia options for mining-only cards are NOT as good as the announced AMD mining-only cards overall - if they'd put a GTX 1070 or a GDDR 5 (not 5x) 1080 in as an option it would be another story though.

They're also wrong about the "much faster" part of that blurb.
The REAL advantage for mining-specific cards will be better efficiency.

I'm curious about this answer. Could you explain a little more about why you don't like a PPLNS pool? I was under the impression this was a better payout system for small miners? Or are you just talking about switching algos.

This is why i have switching interval coded at 6000, so once an hour it switches to the most profitable algo...

My temp 3 card Fan style setup.  There is a bit more of a gap on my motherboard so it probably lets me get away with fan style.   Those fans are blowing out not in  (I think phils is the opposite?) and acutally don't do too much other than drop the heat 3C.   Interestingly the card in slot 1 near the CPU gets the hottest by far and the middle one is really cool.  I also have one fan blowing at them to get some cool air in between the cards which is key to this working.  If I had it in open air I could get away with 2 fans.  All cards running under 60C.  The card in slot one requires 100% fan and tpd 55 so it is not ideal

http://imgur.com/a/y5IHe

http://imgur.com/a/7kWJ0

One of my risers arrived so I have moved it back to a 2 card system. I had to take the backplate off the Auros to get it in the last slot while it was in the case, do not do this if you have stuff in a case there is not enough flow and if your Auros or last card has a DVI port you cant do it either without bending the case.

Was fun though and kept all three of my cards going for the 5 days I needed to wait for gear.

cases kill air flow.
these run cool at fairly high clocks tdp is 165 watts per card on     nvoc0017 OS
