I doubt the news, Maybe he likes to leave, but as usual, he will not. Mbappe has been one of the major players in that PSG team. In important games where he does not play, we always see how PSG struggle because that his ability to make quick runs and score with just a touch will be missing in the game. With Messi now out of PSG and Neymar set to leave too, Mbappe knows there will be more responsibility for him. PSG will get new players in the transfer market, that can majorly play with him to win the champions league in PSG, he is not leaving.

I don't think Mbappe has any intention of leaving anytime soon despite all the rumours about him not happy with the club. Mbappe still has more than a year contract with PSG and being one of the most important and respected player I don't think he will just leave the team to another club unless PSG don't want him again which I think the club can do without him right now. The absence of Messi and hopefully Naymer will be felt in the team and if PSG does not replace the players and Mbappe leaves the team, it's going to be bad for them and I doubt if the management of the club will allow that to happen.

The target of PSG will be to get a solid team again next season to fight for the Champions league and Mbappe is already a pillar in the team so letting him to go will be like PSG trying to start all over again to build a new team which means they may not be a major contenders in the French ligue 1 and champions league.

Yeah the news about Mbappe is official. It is his own words. He doesn't have any intention to go for a contract extension hence his contract is going to expire by next summer. On the other hand PSG have no intention to just release him for free. If PSG decided to stop Mbappe this season then that is very big risk because if he decides to leave next season that will be on a free transfer which would cost the club a big fortune thus losing millions of Euros, the only way forward is Mbappe to give assurance to the club that he is staying with the club for a long term basis and ready to sign a new contract, however with some recent speculations of his purported move to Real Madrid is unsettling his club,  of course Real Madrid needed a striker to replace Benzema who had left the club while the club is already on the move to bid for  and sign Harry Kane, however I think Real Madrid will  give up on signing him for Mbappe.

They already said that if he doesn't sign until 1st of august (automatic no renewal) then he is open for sale, and he is open for sale even right now because he hasn't signed it yet, the only way he would ever be off the table could be him getting that extension otherwise he is just on the market.

He is now playing the ball to PSG management and they have to decide what to do. Let him go for nothing next season? Or sell him and take the money. Seems like the two options for PSG are now to either try to prolong the current contract to a few more years or the second and probably more likely option is that PSG will sell Mbappe in 2023. That was the most probable thing, the contract was just a little away there was no reason to make a move now and wait at least until it was finished.
As for the club, we can even predict from the start about this, even though previously Mbappe refused a big offer from Madrid but the current conditions make him think and actually regret a little with his agreement. PSG better not sell Mbappe this season if they know what's best for them. Neymar and Messi will leave, they need Mbappe to be the main guy for at least one season. They can let him go for free after next season. PSG can do without the transfer fee of Mbappe. They had a chance to sell him for 150 million and they refused so the money is not their problem. Slow him to see out his contract then he can move to Madrid for free. They should use next season to look for replacements and get their affairs in order. They should not even try to convince Mbappe by giving him and improved contract because that would be ruining their club.  Mbappe is great, but him alone cannot win games.
