No, in China the clubs got restricted by the government from spending too much money on foreign players. Ministers shut down that practice in 2021 I believe and as you can see no player in his right mind would go to China for only 5 million. I wonder if the article confuses artificial intelligence with mere computation on pre-defined algorithms. AI usually is defined by building neural networks and coming up with their own conclusions, but drawn similar or equal to the human brain. But if it only builds plain KIs and then compares KIs between players and says what was a good buy and what was a bad buy, I think the wording AI goes too far. But whatever they name it, it reminds me of the movie Moneyball with Jonah Hill who also run these calculations on this old computer and then advised Brad Pitt which players to buy or sell. It is a fun movie and yes I think this could be a great support, but not as a standalone tool. The human mind and instinct is still important for potential transfers.
