I would say a very quick and very discreet move from Liverpool in transfer market to make this signing. No wasting time negotiating, triggered the clause and confirmed deal. Seems like Carvalho negotiations kinda worked like a cover-up for this major transfer, no?

A very good winger with good passing and vision and can really create some good attacking plays. I was actually hoping for midfield signings from Liverpool but guess it works out too.

This was obviously a good deal for Liverpool. Liverpool actually needed a good midfielder. It was good to see that they were able to finalise this deal without making too much noise. I am quite sure that if they actually waited long enough, they would have actually missed out on this player. You are not mistaken. He scored 26 goals in 28 league games, making him Benfica's leading scorer in that season. He performed admirably for a young player just starting out. He is more like a winger basically. Right winger is confirmed Mo Salah for Liverpool so I am expecting Szoboszlai to play at left wing most of time for Liverpool next season. The news about azpi has been surprising me. He has been linked to the intermilan but since chelsea gives him free agent transfer and atletico was also interesting to sign him as a new player.
Azpi potentially does U turn. It's caused by his family has been forcing him to play in spanyol and he can't refuse it. Intermilan may be losing in competition against atletico madrid to get him from chelsea.



I think atletico madrid will complete his transfer as soon as possible. Finally, aspilicueta will be going back to his country after he has been playing for chelsea more than a decade.

I think next season will be the last chance for Nunez to prove that Liverpool did not make a blunder when recruiting him. For that he must try even harder because if once again he fails to carry out his role, I think Liverpool will no longer hesitate to put him on the sale list next season.

I have come across with this news now. It looks like the source I looked into first wasn't telling the truth.    There is already an agreement for 40 million pounds and the deal is soon about to become official. This must be great news for Maddison and Tottenham both. Because Maddison won't have to compete in the Championship anymore.

For Tottenham it must be really nice to have an attacking midfielder. I mean he is going to be the only player whose main position is attacking midfield. Tottenham have been a team using various formations so I don't think Maddison would have any issue with having a place for himself in the lineup.

Besides he can play as a central midfielder and even on the left wing if there is need. Versatility is also a positive for both sides.

Players have their priorities and they make their choices but if I were Maddison, I would not want to involve with Tottenham now they are not playing in any Europe competitions. They are not also sure of going home with any trophy coming season. While we all solicit for Harry Kane to leave Tot for a trophy career, Maddison really wants to join him.

But it will be a good business for Tottenham if this happens. But who will score the goals since Kane is leaving?

I assume that there wasn't any other offer by a Premier League team except Tottenham. Otherwise I would have totally expected Maddison to accept an offer of a more successful team. But this is still much better than getting stuck at Leicester in the second league of course. Because his quality would have been affected negatively in the other case.

When it comes to Kane situation it is still doubtful about whether he will leave. Because as far as I know he has got only one offer so far which was by Bayern Munich.
