Yes, his major focus will be to first get Chelsea back to what they were known for, that is a team that rarely loose games and have a very good fighting spirit. His first task will be to compete for the premier league title and if that is not possible, the least mark he should make should be to finish in first four and qualify for the champions league of the upper season. As an experienced manager, he should be able to do that in his first season just like the Manchester united manager has done in his first season for Manchester United.

Chelsea expectations aren't low, Chelsea still wants to fight for the premier league trophy and a position in champions league football. The new owners of the club aren't settling down for less. They aren't offloading the amount of players that they're doing to generate revenue to renew the team just to settle for less.
